cam caps are all in the correct positions as ive double checked the workshop manual. arrow pointing towards front of the car E on exhaust an I on inlet.
cams are just an inlet and exhaust off a ca18de.
i even removed the cams and lifters put them in another head (the warped one that came off it) tightened them up in the same order as the other...

yeh i tried this before but its all pointing correctly cant adjust standard cam gears (and i cant be arsed putting the adjustables back on.)

stock cam gears. cam timing has been checked and its all pointing correct. or are you saying they need to be dialed in because of the lift/duration differences to stock? it shouldnt cause detonation...
yeh thats the thing he was doing it live so he was watching it (had head phones on listening for knocking) upped the boost and detonation!? afr's were perfect. what can i check without putting it on...

My street car ive been building just got recently tuned and we had a major problem with it. i'll list the mods first and tell you what happened.
ca18det (compression 150,150,150,150)...
fixed alternator had melted a wire and bridged itself. seperated, taped and its all good now :)
yeh im going to go do that now. think it might have fused the pos/neg together.
