It's aftermarket silicone leads. New coils. Didn't change the plugs tho
I need to bleed my lifters again after rebuilding, they're a touch noisy. I've got about 15Litres of 5w30 semi in the garage. Can I use this to bleed my lifters in? Or do I need to use the same grade...
I think it's the ssv. I can move if freely by hand but it's not returning fully. The last couple of mm where it contacts a switch of some sort needs help. Looks like a strip down, clean and lube up...
Does that actually work? I've done the brake pedal pump before but never had to reset the clock or dsc etc
No, how is ecu reset done on these?
Oh, and yrs got brand new coil packs, first job I did
I've not done compression test, but it starts fine Hart or cold. When I bought it one of the plug leads wasn't connected properly. I'll put the plugs and see what they are like
Got a Rx8 daily at the moment and it seems to lack power in the mid revs. It's sometimes has a little cough at 4.5-5K, then it quite flat until 7K when it noticeably really kicks in with power

"Starts and idles fine. Drives good and smooth on low revs and boost. If you bury your foot it feels like an old carbed car over fueling. Doesn't pull, but when you ease off it pulls better, as if...
We recently swapped out a knocking CA18 in my friends motor.

Paid 30quid for that one I picked up
I've got a red top maf somewhere if you need one

You can see the ends of the shafts rotating with the Diff, but the shafts themselves barely moving.
Good info chaps.
Thanks. I took a vid of my driveshafts but I can't upload it to post.
When I rotate the prop, the Diff transfers the movement to the driveshafts, but it looks as tho there's a...
I was undecided, and in the end came to the conclusion that shoddy quality controlled items were going to be no better than stock quality designed and engineered parts. In the end I fitted gtir 54c...
Are you 100% sure?
It's the same thing, as long as it before the butterfly so it doesn't see the vacuum in the I let when the throttle is closed.
Look here http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/sr_setup_tips.shtml
Update how you get on
You shouldn't adjust the idle with the throttle stop screw. That's just to stop the butterfly ja,,img shut too tight and sticking.
You need to adjust that properly first to where it should be. The...

Which is top that goes up against the floor
Just to be sure, which way round should the centre bracket be?!
Fan is unclear because it shows a nut and bolt going through from top to bottom, mine is bolted upwards into the floor
