That looks like a fuel delivery issue to me (fuel pump, FPR). I wouldn't keep driving it hard with it hitting 13.5:1 AFR on boost, it won't last long.

That only really applies to the 4WD class, which is a bit of a joke in all fairness. RWD & FWD are open for anyone IMO. Look at the V8 TT Granada as a perfect case in point!

At the moment, yes. The chips are written for the 52F00 MAF, the VQ map for the SOHC 40F00 MAF is different. If he can't source a MAF, I can. Or custom chips for his specific set-up can be written.
Running a KA24E 40F00 AFM instead of the Redtop 52F00 one, giving the odd AFR readings at various points throughout the rev range.

They're shit on petrol, think I just about managed 32mpg on a run in mine. Pretty gash for a 1634kg auto that'll piss 180mph.
