Yeah, that ATI driver is the one I installed, I think the Intel driver (from the HP site) is for other versions of the 4530s that didn't have the on-board Radeon graphics...

So, the laptop was idle for about 12 hours with the wifi switched off, hasn't bluescreened all day :)
Maybe the checkdisk fixed something or maybe it's the wifi card?
I'm now going to try using...
malwarebytes found and quarantined 5 issues.
Still bluescreened when I tried to use Norton
Ran a full checkdisk in the evening, I didn't see it find any bad sectors etc, but the last stage took...
Yeah, except I don't think getting a copy of windows 7 and using the code on the label on the bottom of the laptop will work, will it?
It bluscreened when I downloaded malwarebytes... it's running...
Not even close to half-full at the moment, moved a load of stuff over the weekend as I was worried about losing it and not totally sure what I had backup copies of.
I've let it get reasonably full...
They basically refused to pay because the account name was not the same as the company name I had put when I ordered the laptop. Which is a bit ridiculous because the payment came from my account.
