You don't want it completely engaged into the box. You need to allow some room for thermal expansion and chassis flex!

Piman is right here. As the air flow comes over the back of the car towards the spoiler it's going to be travelling at a downwards angle so the relative angle of attack is different to the set angle...

Yeah they generally are very basic. Would be very surprised if you can feel the difference but for the few quid (?) it must have cost why not! And all race car parts have a bling factor!! Haha

How big is your gurney flap? I think around 2-3% of chord length is the norm! Do you expect to see any difference or is it a bit of bling?

I know the way the harness is it is hard to get it wrong but are the injectors and spark plugs wired up to the right connectors? i.e you might have spark and fuel but at the wrong time. Other thing...

Check the connector on the back of the headlight. They have a habit of arcing and melting which causes a bad connection!
