both sound about right for a warm engine. 120ish C = 240ish F max temp you have a bit more headroom with fully synth oil. If you thinking of a cooler - get a thermostatically controlled one...

bollox, I only booked my August and September flights to Berlin on Sunday, now I'm looking at minimum £180 to change them, I'm going to have to seriously consider cancelling unless I can work out...

I would re-iterate Scottie although the camping was fine for what it was.

Synthetic (cracked) isn't really synthetic by 'common sense description'.
Caterham, Westy, Tiger in that order based on
residuals, build quality, Caterhams are expensive, but hold their value, you will get a 'better' westy or tiger for the price you pay for a Caterham....
