tolerance limit on the journal is .05mm and standard wear tolerance up to 0.022mm.
crank journal on standard size (depending on grade) will be 47.956 to 47.974mm.
if your mic it at 47.76mm then...
every engine ive built the bearing tabs / notch go on the same side.
it must be pretty flimsy steel work at that price or there is hidden costs. Ive put up a few cold rolled metal section sheds and you would be ~3k for a kit of a shed that size + cost of the base...
Personally not used a PFC with the VW coils but cant see any issue, really all the ECU is doing is triggering the coil by switching to/from earth. both Nissan and the VW coils use an ignitor amp to...
That is an odd one - the cams aren't extreme so shouldn't effect cold starts. and R8 coils should only improve the spark.
do you have any more info on the car? i.e. what mods/state of tune as I...
Depending on what you want to achieve you could cut the fuel pump relay signal wire from the ecu and put a switch in that. ECU is in passenger foot well so running wires to dash shouldn't be tricky....
This would point to the bearing between input and mainshaft
im sorry to say but I would say its either input shaft bearing or mainshaft bearing in the gearbox. Do you have gearbox rebuild info with confirmation of what bearings and tolerance checks they done?...
How rough is the idle with the cams as the longer duration will effect it slightly but not greatly. The coils should not effect it so you must have an underlying issue. If idle was good prior to...
At idle with no load the ECU will be requesting the following timing ;) so yep interpolate these cells and your in the range that's being seen.
Load = 7
25deg @ 800rpm
33deg @ 1200rpm
Load 13...
Also watch out if your taking the timing signal via the service loop at the back of the engine - ive never had good success with this.
Best to use a normal HT lead stuck into the bottom of coil 1...
how are you timing it? I assume with a timing light and where are you taking the trigger from?
you say that it is off by 4-5marks and guess its -35deg but that doesn't sound right - the sr20 crank...
a bit of info on the vag coils here as well. https://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?584905-A-quick-how-to-use-VAG-coil-on-SR20&highlight=
However ive read the 350z coils also fit and have started...
ill PM you
if your desperate for a top mount set up i'll sell you mine.
full mazworx top mount set up with a gt3076, oil lines, down pipe..... easily +450hp set up.
if your planning on gt2871 or the 3071 then there is no need to top mount. both fit with a low mount manifold and save you the hassle. a GT3071 will get you over 400hp.
To be honest even for big...

its not ideal due to galvanic corrosion. it will cause the carbon steel around it will corrode faster.
White walls to enhance the light. Floors I always avoid grey as it hides bolts!
Guess the most important thing is use a good 2k floor paint. Wall can be cheap masonry but the floor needs decent...

I've been keeping an eye out for the past few months for a good candidate but there's just nothing up in the area, they're all down in Englandshire and I work a lot and I...
I think I bought a rear black bumper off you a good while back ;)
If so it's still living on in my 200sx.
I'm fortwilliam ways instead of Aberdeen now. Passed a green s14a through Elgin a week...
Use some nordlock washers. Itll hold fine after that.
Don't get me wrong, I like s-body's as much as most here but as an investment I don't think its a wise move. If you like sil80's just buy a 180 that's been converted. You will be lucky to break even...
Awesome you have access to a scope! Your graphs are supporting the cause being excessive charge / dwell so I would say it's worth knocking the time down to 1.8 as a starting point.
