    Hi Guy

I have purchased oil from you for my race car over time however it has been out of commission for a few years.
It was recently remapped at 501BHP with a forged SR20 and GT3582 turbo (Max RPM is 7.5K).
I used to use the silkolene pro s 10W50 but at this time it was a slightly smaller turbo and less power.

What would be your recommendation now? The car is not used on the road and will most likely only come out rarely for drag racing and possibly the odd track day but it will mostly be drag racing use.
Since racing it last weekend after the remap i have a slight tappet noise for the 1st minute when cold. As soon as it warms up a little this goes.

    Your recommendations please.

    Thanks

    Hi

I would probably stick with a good 10w-50. What oil is in it now?

    Cheers

    Hi

I would probably stick with the Pro S 10w-50, but there is no issue with using the Millers CFS/CFS NT or Red Line instead. I was thinking a 15w-50 might be a good option, but I'm not sure due to the tappet noise.

    Cheers

    Hi Tim thanks.

I have just aquired another 14a today which will when mapped be running around 280-300BHP (stage 1a ish).
Woud this also be ok using the pros s 10-50?
Would make things easier if possible.
This will be a daily for the MRS but will only get used rarely for short journeys as she walks to work.

    Thanks

I think you'd be better off using what I put in my Kouki - Fuchs Titan S Pro 5W-40

I'm trying to find a high performance replacementfor a Fram oil filter PN PH6811 using your cross reference i come up with Mahle OC115 but i cannot get the cross reference to suggest a UFI part. Can you see ifyou can cross reference it and give me the UFI PN please as from the description they sound a better quality of filter.

    Thanks

    Hi

There are some supply issues with UFI at the moment (not sure if we will keep dealing with them) and the 23.485.00, which is the equivalent to the OC115 is not available for now.

    Cheers

    Hi

    I would use a good 5w-40 synthetic.

    http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul Sport/300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Just acquired a Kaaz 1.5 way plated LSD, I've read around and seen a mineral LSD oil is recommended. On your site I see you have the Castrol and the fuchs ones at the same price.

Would either of these be fine?

    thanks,

The Castrol Axle Z or Fuchs Race Gear 90LS are both absolutely fine for it.

    Hi

The B373 would be fine as well. It's another mineral oil, but approved to the (now obsolete) GL6 rating.

    Cheers

I've got a CA18DET automatic block that i'm going to be using, when opening the engine i could see a lot of sludge in the oilpan and the head was also incredibly black. So not many oilchanges on this motor. I've cleaned up everything i could without removing the head.

What would be the best option to flush this engine:
    - use the least thick oil together with an additive?
    - use the prescribed oil + one quart of automatic transmission oil
    - use the prescribed oil and get it up to optimal temperature, drain the oil and flush with diesel

    Hi

If it's really bad, I would use an engine flush to clean as much as possible out, then use a cheap oil to make sure all the flush is out of the system. I don't see why ATF would be any benefit to cleaning the system, gear oils have low levels of detergents compared to engine oils.

    Cheers

I would use a 75w-140 LSD oil and the Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip, Gulf Gear LS, Red Line 75w-140 GL5, Fuchs Sintopoid LS, Motul Gear Competition, Millers CRX NT LS and Gulf Syngear are good options.
