Isn't 1.2 bar a bit much for the standard turbo ? I always read that 1.2 bar is the limit for the standard turbo, and even then it won't last long.

And is the weather going to influence the performance of the chip ? Its pretty cold now, when you mapped it, but what about in the summer when its 30+ celcius ?
Won't the chance for detting be greater the hotter it'll get ?

There are quite a few people 1.2bar on the standard turbo - and I don't think they're having any problems.

With high air temps you would probably need to retard the ignition a little, or reduce the boost pressure a little to prevent det. Having said that, putting a car on the rollers, with limited air flow, is usually a good enough test to prevent det. Car are more likely to det on a rolling road than on the real open road.

Btw, does a GT28R or the GT28RS already have an uprated actuator ?

I think they will both come with a 0.6-0.7bar actuator. Although I'd imagine it depends on where you get it from.

Jez- What would you say is the best uprated actuator to go for? Just collecting the bits for probably a stage 2 chip now

Graham used an adjustable Nismo job - although pretty much any adj. actuator would work

I dont understand that Jez My AVC-R seems able to give 1.2 bar easily??

Would that be because the Nismo's are 555cc and not 550's?? Just a thought Jez

Really? Grazors and DanS14's car couldn't hold 1.2bar to the red line.
