I could do pretty much anything. In the past I've done (and would be happy to do again):
    HID kits
    turbos
    knock analysers

    I could easily do:
    pistons
    conrods
    suspension parts

    And probably most other stuff

Jez it would be good to see you offer the same ECU chips for the redtop sr20det found in 180sx and silvias as you do for UKDM S13 and S14/a

Not at the moment. We do Tein, k-sport and Racing Logic.
I could look into getting Tanabe - what exact were you after?

that's a whopping price rise, how come so much?

I've posted another topic about it vs the "pro" (I assume that's going up in price too?)

I don't know how feasable this is, but it could be an idea.

Many people (like me) have one of your staged chips fitted but have alternative turbos, maybe a different cooler, or head gasket. The car will still run OK but woud benefit from a custom map. Due to geographical location it just isn't practical to get the car to you for custom mapping.

I plan to purchase one of your AFR data loggers and get the data from a few runs in different gears.

The data would then be sent to you along with your chip for adjustment. It wouldn't be the same as actually having the car with you but it would get it to a nearness. You've mapped a fair few of these engines now and will have a good idea of what the maps should look like.

Is this something that could be run as an additional service?

Perhaps even hiring out the AFR data logger with a deposit for people who wern't interested in having this as a permanant addition to the car?

I'm just trying to think of things that uses your existing skills base. You could even make kitchen units, I believe they're made from MDF, good margins too

Good idea but I don't think it'd work really. When mapping on the road I make a lot of changes after each run. This takes a few hours. If we did it via post then it'd probably take months...

Very funny regarding the MDF - hadn't thought of going into kitchens....

    Fair enough.

The way I see it you need to focus your business around your core skills and strengths.

    1. Engine mapping / electronics
    2. Track proven aero devices
    3. Chassis set up

    1. Your staged chips are an excellent product as people can just follow the steps and end up with a nippy car. Coming up with your own range of electronic devices in conjunction with an electronics manufacturer has to be the way to go in terms of making real money. Being a retailer is only going to make lots of money if that's your core business, what you want is a franchise. A few flashy lights and people are generally happy

    2. I think it would be worth coming up with your own 'H-Dev Aero Package' once you've got it tweaked on track. Obviously using more exotic materials, but a front splitter with mounting brackets, BGW, and undertray/rear diffuser could be designed by you then manufactured by a composites company. I'm sure people would be keen to get a package that improves cornering and stability on track.

    3. H-Dev alignment products? The market is kind of flooded with these things at the moment, but I'm sure you could come up with a niche product or two for improving the handling.

Have you done any SWOT analysis or sat down for a brain storm with your workforce (you and the other guy)?

Also, a packet of fizzers or the like in along with any products you sent out works wonders. I was delighted when I opened up my temperature sender from Bren and found the fizzers in there, it made fitting it so much more enjoyable

I know you done this already and didnt work out but why not try again..

    Mapping tuition/courses,

Or advice packages??? (paying for your experience and knowledge)
ie I have been learning mapping since getting my Power FC and Datalogit. There is enough info out there to learn but sometimes you need someone to double check you understand correctly, or to ask a very specific questions. Now i know you help people as much as you can but I would feel cheeky ringing for advice all the time.

    Dont ask you dont get
