I want to be nosey, what's in your CD player?
I've got "The Ataris" blasting out through my headphones and it's keeping me off the Monday morning blues

not at work the now but generally have linkin park on or the red hot chilli peppers or something similar, was listening to ramstein last night
Right now I'm listening to the Jackson 5 singing ABC. I'm also singing. Badly.
It's on the Clerks II soundtrack
Not allowed to listen to music at this job but where I used to work I found that the radio was the best option. But most of the radio stations keep playing really poo stuff, so I ended up settling for Virgins classic rock station.
I have the Scratch Perverts playing in the studio!! Sweet Monday morning music!
It's about the only think that keeps me sane. Currently it's Avril Lavigne, she's the mother****ing princess
Ususally on my iPod nobody seems to mind. Play it out loud on speakers when working on the Scanning Electron Mircoscope. The noise of the pumps maintaining the vacuum drives me nuts!
Listening to guitar hero 2 soundtrack at the moment! But usually it would be something like Boards of Cananda / Aphex Twin / Thievery corperation / DJ Vadim / Amon tobin or some other techno / trip hop kinda thing. It suits high tech lab work.
currently listening to a band called Thrice, album is "the artist in the ambulance"
very good band...currently happily listening to this whilst building a new Tivoli server ha ha
Moby. Play.
Not usually sitting around but when I am it's also Boards Of Canada sometimes.
Maybe some DJ Shadow,Portishead.
Been listening to a lot of techno recently, getting right in to minimal stuff.
erm... looking at really really small things
Dendritic structure, Micro fractures figuring out where a crack started and how it propagated etc.
Do a bit of failure investigation. finding out where exactly a material failed causing the lost of the product etc. Can use it to do element maps and spectrums too. Usually get people coming in with some unknown material and saying quantify it etc.
Do a lot NDT stuff too like x-ray and liquid dye penetrent but neither of those include annoying noisey vacuum pumps like the SEM so doesn't drive you nuts!!

Down to what sort of level can it go down to? Can you actually see atoms?
Don't know I'd have to find out. Haven't used it beyound maybe a couple of mircons. Doubt it would go down to atoms, but does go further than I've had to use. I'll try and find out. Love using it though fascinating how things look when on that kind of scale.
