pussy....
90 cakes?
Start slowly and work your way back to where you were when/if you were fit.Light weight multiple reps for stamina, heavy weights for bulk.Try not too strain too much, could get nasty
60 kilos is quite respectable
90 is probably more than your body weight so is very good
lol how fat u think he is ... 60 is a good bit over my body weight, i can only do 80 though
I think a weight thats good for an individual goes against the build of your arms/shoulders, you may have a beer gut that weighs 3 stone, that doesnt make you any stronger than someone 3 stone skinnier than you
anyway, dont start with big big weights, you wont be impressing any gym goers
do what you can comfortably manage unless your trying intentionally to do yourself damage, and nice slow straining reps; not throwing the weight all over the place
10 slow as hell concentrated reps with a small weight is more advantageous than 10 fast reps (using momentum) using a big weight
it will take a few months to gain a good bit if your diets good, but expect the rate of growth to slow down dramatically after that, even if you keep up the good work ... it takes a long time to get beefcaked
ask maddog and i think hallsy, they know their stuff
80 kilos is only 12.5 stone
60 kilos is well under 10 stone
damnit where is the "I dont care option"
Its not enough just not reading a thread, I want to read it and then express my opinion that I dont care.
But for a lack of it, I will be insulting and guess 30
Sorted the poll. It's kind of hard to guess what you'll bench with no idea how big you are. 30kg would be well impressive if you were a 12 year old girl.
Arse, I have already voted 30 now ... can you delete one from the 30kg and stick it on the I dont care ?
You guys are the greatest
I just managed 105kg + locks and I´ve been training for almost exactly a year so 90 has to be doable if you have trained with any other method than Tinkerbells morning stretching.
I bench press 70-80Kg myself for 10 slow reps in sets of three ... didnt think that was bad to be honest.
If you can bench press 90Kg+ for 10 slow reps then big respect
I weigh 92.5kg
I am currently 86 kilos and will be pleased when I can press my own weight... seems like a long way off at the moment though
My score was for a single rep as I thought the original question was also... Threes in a range of 90-95. Tens in the same range as you Mr OCD. I´m about 80 kilos.
Even just benching your own bodyweight is good
Its an exercise that can vary massively between people for all sorts of reasons, I've seen 70kg athletes bench more than 110 kg athletes..... one of the most impressive was a world champion sprinter weighing about 78 kg, benching 100 kg + for about 15 reps comfortably just 4 weeks after a big shoulder op and 3 months since he'd done any weights Remember too, most of you who do general weight training, say 3 sets 10, could get so much stronger if you ever wanted to by focusing on the strength aspect.
One of my work colleagues holds the records for his weight class at 285 kg he did do a contentious 300 + but the judges said he didnt hold it for long enough. Way beyond most of us mere mortals and he is a big lad
