Pretty easy: replace the bulb (thats probably the most difficult bit), couple of wires to the battery and plug into the existing loom. Pretty straight forward.

I suspect as the other kits you have are compatable, it may be possible to swap the bulb from the Richy_Boy HIDs to the H-Dev ones if Jez can get some spare bulbs Certainly worth investigating!

sorry mate I ment from no lights on as in during the day. wouldn't they have to fire up. and if so would flashing them like this do any damage?

I see what you mean - They take a short time to fire up, although the popups prob take longer to pop than the hids take to fire up. You won't do any damage, might wear them out a bit quicker but to be honest they're sposed to last a lot longer than std bulbs any way.

Yeah, maybe - I'd need a volunteer to test though as the looms might be different.

I bought a set of these on Wednesday, arrived on Thursday, drove to work with them fitted this morning. Very impressed indeed. Thanks Jez.

The're not in a Nissan mind... There cant be many J plate Sierra's with Xenons on the road! I think they are even better than the H1 kit I fitted to my 14a this time last year.

Considering, depending on the level of tune your car has technically illegal brakes and suspension HID is the least of your worries (i.e. the old 'for motorsport use only' thing)

I've run HIDs for years... 3 MOTS and no problems whatsoever. Illegal or not, no one cares or even grumbles as long as they are aligned correctly.

There is some talk that they're illegal because of normal lenses softer focus and HID's should be automatically self levelling. I don't care though, it only takes me 2 seconds to change back to standard bulbs for MOT time. But I'll get it tested with them in to test the water.

I'm afraid I've not got any S14a before and after pics. Although most hid kits will give similar light output quality
