The R32 GTR I have already has a HID kit fitted. Its a hi/lo kit and I'm 99% sure its an H4 fitment. So you'd need an S13 H4 hi/lo kit

I'd recommend that you check you have the same headlights as this car I think some are different.

hi there im looking at getting some of these i get that you wire the dip beam into the side lights or external switch but what happens about full beam ? not really looked at the headlight set up but afaik the h4 is a twin filliment

On the S14 you have 2 bulbs. One does high and low beam, the other does just high beam IIRC
When you go for HIDs you can either replace the hi/lo bulb with a HID thats on for dipped and main beam (but doesn't change beam pattern). Or go for a bulb that moves so you get HID on dipped and HID and normal on full beam. i.e. normal H4 HID bulb or hi/lo moving H4
Hope that makes sense

I'm still a bit confused about the hid's......
I do a lot of driving in the dark, light output is a big thing to me, is the light emitted from these much greater than the light from my full beam if i were running 120w bulbs?
or have i missed the point?

How many people have you caused to crash this year with 120w bulbs?! (If you are actually using them). The HID's are normally only 35w (I think), and throw out a hell of a lot more light than Halogens.. goto 55w HID's and it be even more light output for the voltage. In reality, the silly wattage rule has not kept pace with technology, as HID's are FAR brighter than halogens, and more efficient (except on initial lighting). Your halogens at 55w will seem like the sun coming towards you to another motorist, whilst the HID's will just be a 'sharp' bright light as such.
They are just a different tech, with a far brighter output for the voltage. Your reflector still needs to be in good condition (which is one of the better upgrades you can do, is getting new reflectors )

fair point but on the s13 no-one seemed to notice and that was with new light unit's, with the 55/60w bulb's we could keep full beam on and never get flashed, the light's were set correctly but never seemed to put out any decent light.

Majority of peeps seem to think their a good idea, so why not give them a go. You could always sell them on afterwards if your not impressed. Just do the correct 'burn-in'.

i'm definately giving them a try and will be ordering a set this week, was just concerned that on full beam there wouldn't have been much more difference, it's not looks i'm bothered about but coming home from lamping at 4am in howling weather you want the best possible chance esp when most of it is on rural roads, but from what i've read on the board they seem like a really really good option.

Jez, top notch Kit
And thank's for sorting it out as quickly, recieved them the next day
Anyone considering these i can definately recomend them, the kit is decent quality, and far better than some of the kit's of e-gay i've fitted for folk's not only on 200's but other cars as well.
