Corner weight measurement and setup - from £29.99

We have just invested in some awesome new corner weight scales. These scales allow us to set up a car's coilover suspension correctly or just show the weight on each corner.

The advantages of a correctly setup car are better handling, a more 'planted' feel and lower lap times.

We will offer two services using this new equipment:
    1) A weight measurement of your car. You will get the weight at each wheel, front to rear split and left to right split. This service is £29.99 inc VAT

    2) A complete coilover corner weight setup. We will adjust your corner weights by setting up your coilover correctly. This service will be £50+VAT per hour. Each car will take a different amount of time to setup, but we estimate that it'll take between 1.5-2 hrs.

I've just been trying these out - Evos are bloody heavy - 1460kg! Carls golf is only 860...
Not weighed my S13 yet, its got no engine in at the moment - might put it on and see where I'm at in bit

This is cool, would be very curios as to my cars weight.
Can you explain whats involved in setting up a car on coilovers using corner weights, im going to be downgrading from coilovers to kyb's so it won't be much use to me but im curious as to the process involved and what it is you adjust, thanks.

Setting the corner weights involved getting the weight distribution across each of the wheels as balanced as possible. To change the weight on each wheel you adjust the height of the coilover by a small amount. See here: http://66.102.9.104/search?q=cache:q...er-weights.php

Just weighed the S13 - came in at 808kg, pretty lardy considering it hasn't got this lot installed yet:
Engine + rad + FMIC etc
    Gearbox
    Propshaft
    Seat
    Exhaust
    Aero bits

    And thats with:
    plastic boot and boot window
    plastic door windows
    no electric window motors
    no ac or heater stuff
boot floor has been chopped out
    ali fuel tank
    Carbon bonnet
    no metal bumpers
pretty much everything striped out inc all sound deadening, carpet etc etc

So it'll prob come in well over 1000kg when its back together...

    Sweeet!

I wouldn't worry mate, I'll make you feel better when I bring the GT4 down in the new year to get weighed! Just got a few more bits to remove and K sport seats to fit first!

That would assume that you could make the "mamoth" journey all the way down to Newbury mate....

What with the rear callipers seizing , your patented "constantly variable suspension geometry" , blowing turbo gasket of justice and crumbly old suspension buhses.

I'd be interested in getting the car fully setup when you've got all the alignment gear in.
