    S12 for a drift car?

I have been offered an amazing deal on a (tatty) s12. This will be my 1st RWD car and I will use it purely to learn to drift in.
What are the common faults with S12s and what parts will need to be changed over? I know it has (ghetto) cut springs and buckets and harnesses but I havent seen it in the flesh so no idea what Im looking for to be honest
    Any advise much appreciated!
    Cheers

Well it will teach you the principles of handling a rear wheel drive car. Unfortunately without alot of effort it will never be a good drift car.

Im not looking to enter BDC/EDC etc - just get used to a RWD... I have a civic at the moment so not used to it. When I get better I plan to buy a better car

    It can be done:

That my black S12 - T2 Hybrid, cut springs, FMIC, welded diff and a few other bits. Its drifts OK, but really needed some decent suspension (srings and shocks) to be at all decent

A modded S12 definitely has the power and the ability to be a decent drift car - Id certainly look at one over an E30 BMW or a Sierra personally

    s12's are the kiddie

they suffer from crappy 20 year+ old suspension and no steering lock.

so fit some steering rack spacers for like £5 from driftworks and if u can find it some lowering springs and shocks and its a great car to learn in. s12 ftw
