What do you need for a stage 1 to a stage 1a? I know about the upgraded parts, what i mean is do you need the old chip back or do you send a new one instead?

You have a couple of options:
Fit a stage 1a ECU upgrade to a standard ECU
Upgrade an ECU from stage 1 to 1a

If your ECU does not have an existing ECU upgrade we recommend that you send your ECU to us for fitting - it is quite difficult. If you already have a stage 1 ECU upgrade, its very easy to change to 1a

If you already have a stage 1 you can either send the stage 1 chips back and we wil send out the stage 1a chips, or you can pay a £100 deposit, we will send out the stage 1a chips then when we get the stage 1 chips back we will refund the deposit.

Sorry, it seems i wasn't quite clear. I already have a stage 1 from you. So it would just have to change out the eproms. Is the car still driveable if i pull the stage 1 out? If not i will send you the extra deposit.

    Cheers, Patrick.

No, you can't drive the car without the eproms.

Impressive figures for what is effectively just a bunch of bolt ons and a (quality) remap.
Your going to have to revise all your maps now and bump them up

Jez, does the 49.99 also include fitting?
    Auto version ready aswell?

Stage 1a is now effectively stage 2.
    Do we now need a stage 1a + Nismo555?

I have all the parts needed to stage 2 + GT2871R...
But I dont know what to do...use the stage 2 parts+ std turbo or make a completely new remap with stage 2 parts + GT2871R.

The problem of fitting GT2871R is that I think that there is anybody in Spain who can remap my ECU to this mods. So the easier way will be buying a stage 2 chip to use with std. turbo.

What do you think Jez? can you remap my ecu for stage 2 + GT2871R without having the car? I'm from Spain...and this is a problem.

    Uprated dump valve
    H-Dev tubular manifold
I'm looking to go upgrade my stage 1 chip to stage 2 but would prefer the stage 2a chip. Would my car be any use as a test car as it hasnt got a tubular manifold? It has got the Adjustable actuator and electronic boost controller and dump valve but would need the 555 injectors which shouldn't be a problem as you sell them.
Let me know if its of any use as I would very much like the stage 2a chip

Jez, got an interesting question for you.

I have a (well taped up and non-leaking) bren device, and had it setup to 1 bar, that would then tail off to 0.9 by the redline, giving me 260hp (dynoed). I then creeped it up a bit, to about 1.1 bar, dropping to 1.0 bar at the redline. It felt quicker, lets say 270hp.

My question is, i'm interested in 1a (i already have a 1 chip off you), however i wont be purchasing an electronic boost controller. I can easily turn it to 1.2bar, and it will tail off to 1.1(ish) by the redline (it was doing this the other week with the cold air until i turned it back a notch) - it holds well for a manual controller - BUT will that be pushing the injectors too far? As its a manual controller on a stock actuator, i cant 'tell it' to go from 1.2 bar to 1.0 bar, if you get what i mean - will the injectors be going overkill at 1.1 bar at the redline?

This, for me, would be cheaper than going to stage 2, and if i could get 285hp safely, i'd be happy what do you reckon?

    Hey Jez

I'd be willing for you to use my car for developing/testing stage 2a. It will require one of your manifolds and an adjustable actuator. I was going to contact you in the new year with the intention of going 3a. Anyway if you're interested and wish to discuss it further let me know.
