looking really good mate
Looking good so far
Thanks, should hopefully be able to speed things up now the weather is getting better. Have a few bits on order too
looking very clean love the wheels aswell
Decided to sort the front brakes out because the calipers were sticking. Also thought this would be a good chance to change the brake lines and fluid. One caliper came off fine, on the other the brake line nut is seized so need to sort that out. I bought a rebuild kit from dan I followed the guide on here and was very simple.
Decided to get HEL braided lines fronts arent pictured as i only remembered to take the photo after they were fitted.
New seals, will give them a clean before fitting.
First coat of paint on one caliper, needs a bit of sanding to get smooth.
Will get them fitted back on when i get the seized nut out.

Wow this project is coming along well fella, fair play to ya! We're doing very similar things i just realised!lol!
Thanks, i know i noticed that. I hate rust lol. If you wanna pop over from ireland and do all mine for me i dont mind lol.
Had a little problem with the other caliper. The brake line bolt was seized in, spent about 4 hours trying to get it out using everything but then gave up. So instead lucky Difghan off here was helping me and had some spare gts-t calipers.
Next, i was able to take the car off the road for a few days because i didn't need it some i thought this would be a good chance to sort out the engine bay. It was kind of clean before but not very exciting.
Before:
During:
This is the only during pic i have, forgot to take photos when i took everything out the engine bay.
This is what i looks like now, engine bay is now ready for japfest, about the only thing that is.
After photos:
What did you use to clean up the abs unit and the block etc?? Need to give my bay a good clean again

Looking good matey.. Whats that strut brace and how much was it?
ZXSpectrum - The strut brace is a cusco one, it came on the car. Not sure how much they are new.
Just found this: http://www.apexperformance.co.uk/cat...ca5931c85aef14
LOL Sorry i meant the rear one.. BTW I have the exact same front strut brace and i am pretty sure that my Cam cover is the same colour too.. Ford Azure Blue?
Yup thats the same blue, how strange i just went into halfords and picked out a blue which i thought would looked good with the strut brace. Great minds think a like i guess . The rear one i got off someone on here along with the front lower. So again not sure where to get them from or how much new.
how you get the block that clean ? did you use a pw and some decent degreaser?
I was going to degrease it, but then decided to just paint it as a lot easier and better results. I just wiped it down to get any grease and dirt off then painted it.
