Lately I've been hearing a cracking whoosing noise on full boost and everytime I've heard it before its been the turbo gasket falling to bits so looks like it's due ANOTHER turbo gasket replacement.

Wish I had the money to go for a top mount setup to make changing these turbo gaskets easier. Would it be worth looking at getting the GT28r on a top mount manifold?

I have no idea lol. It doesn't really get driven that hard as you know. The exhaust knocks a little bit but doubt that would be doing it.

Maybe my engine mounts are worse than I think they are and it's putting more strain on the manifold.

The fmic is something I've wanted to look into for a long time. Never been happy with how it currently sits so moving it altogether is an ideal option.

A kit would make it much much easier lol.

Problem is where your car is a daily you cant slowly make a kit up and fit the FMIC how you want, it all has to be done in a day

Same goes for doing a top mount kit

Dailys dont make very good projects or they are at least limited to off the shelf bolt on parts

The daily part is a problem .

Hence why I've not done the FMIC yet.

I do like that intercooler setup .

When I spoke to BLAKTOOTH he told me after selling his old intercooler setup it only cost him £50 to go to the new setup which I think is ideal.

Sweet, just done a search on here with his user name and found some pics

I have a spare core, in the size he used down the workshop, so ill fit the core, in a few hours retain the wmic until I piece together the pipework. Can still use the car then

Seems I may require locking pins for the bonnet as the existing catch maybe in the way...

Edit, sod it, ill start it this weekend and do a write up in my project

    Thanks Jon.

I love the design of the grids but was never 100% on the colour. Looking forward to getting the new wheels now though .

Rocker cover is nice aint it. I might paint up the inlet manifold in the same colour .
