I would strongly recommend it mate

I agree on the matt CF but it would be a bitch to maintain

Well once it's ready I shall pop over to see if he can quote me happy.

Really, is that because the carbon has no protection from the elements?

I think it's more that matt finishes tend to have a rough top coat to acheive the desired effect.

Once it gets dirty if you clean it you end up with a shiny finish.

You'd need to lacquer it to keep it fresh and I've no idea how you'd go about getting a clear matt lacquer finish

It must be doable, even Ford have done it with the ltd edition RS.

Lol, probably not at the moment! but i have May the 7th to the 12th earmarked for cleaning and odd jobs on mine!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Its a vinyl wrap on the fords! They are gloss black paint underneath!

That would explain it, I can't see how you can get a smooth finish with a matt effect (although my Dad does have some non reflactive glass in a picture at home which seems to work so maybe it can be done

Here are a couple of quick pics of the end result.

Sadly Will couldn't sort out the sh*tty fitment of my sh*tty Seibon bootlid

I'm going to have to get rid of it, it drives me mad

The work on the car is excellent, I'm particularly pleased with the finish n that crappy zenki bumper i had, looks like new now and the colour match is spot on.

The front looks great too with the washers removed and the ducts now flush fitted to the bumper

Will is a legend and did a bloody brilliant job

    Having just returned from a trip over to see the SXOC.nl guys and girls in Holland there are plenty more pics here;

I know mate, because the rest of it looks so god it's really bugging me!

I'm half tempted to put the OE boot back on til I can find a good one, Ken has a Seibon and it fits perfectly which is even more annoying

Looked fantastic at the weekend mate When we were parked and you were taking the photos above and being chased by crazy cheese eating French petrol station hobos, Kirsty commented on how amazing it was looking and how she loved it and wanted an S14a even more now

Will post up my pics I took too

Lol, this is a project thread not parts for sale you vultures

you'll have to wait until I find one that actually fits to replace it with too.

Matty, cheers mate. The drivclast weekend was awesome and I fell in love with the car all over again. She did really well and every time we stopped I loved the way she looked
