1 day insurance help

took my car off the road for abit but i need to get it to a drift day in leicester in a couple of weeks. the 1 day insurance places ive tried wont cover me on the sx till im 25. im only 22, trailoring isnt an option unless your offering to take me. any ideas of other insurance people?? or other ideas??

A lot of them I tried wouldn't cover modified cars or cars over group 15 either.

I had the same problem with the gtr, I tried for days and couldnt get anything

Yup, a lot of the short term places only cover stock, non imported cars.

Have you got a policy on another car? If so, try ringing your insurers and seeing if they can add an additional temporary vehicle

no i mean i'll put someone over 25 on 1 day insurance or get a mate with a traders to drive it

looked into that a little bit and from what i can gather some insurance companies specify that the other random car your driving has to have insurance of its own and some dont mention anything in the t+c. all depends on each individual policy.


ive just got a cheap policy atm with swift cover on a shite 106 so doubt they'l cover me on the nissan

I did this with my import impreza
I think it was called day insure or something......cost me £36 for the day

I used tempcover.com to insure an S13 for a day - cost me about £20

I think S13 is group 16 which means you can be 21, but S14 is group 18 which requires you to be 25
