    Chrome cars

Well this I think finally answers the question about legality of a mirrored car

    http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/30032010/36...-mirror-0.html

Didnt know whether to post it under motoring or non-200 ?? .... as its only 20% about motoring and 80% about being a bellend spending £38k on a mini ..... I think bellends are more non-200

I actually like it lol. It's funky and totally different, but I gotta disagree dude, I don't think it makes him a bellend.

If you can afford it and like it, then do it! The price of exclusivity.

I saw a chrome R8 the other day - M62 around Manc - it was hideous! Looked soooo cheap. Had a large black section on the bonnet and black side sections - urgh!

People on here have probably spent more on 10-15 year old Datsuns

Yes I can think of better cars to spend £38k on but thats what makes us all different

He probably thinks your a bellend for having an MX5

Oddly enough I was at the Mazda garrage the other day pricing up a new MX5 - as with the Scrapage scheme deals that have now ended, it was turning out cheaper to by a brand new Mx5 than a 3 year old with 15000 on the clock

... errr .... anyway ... if you dont want Black or Red the price of a nice paint job is £375 ...... the mini paint job is £21000

I reckon that is actually Johnny's parents and he's trying to distance himself a bit from them due to embarassment. They look the sort that would bring up a son who wears red shoes

Isnt this classed as dangerous though sun reflecting off the bodywork could very easily blind other motorists. You can just picture it driving down the road with other cars crashing around it

Waaaaay worse, this has a mirror finish ... a polished car reflects only the light spectrum of that colour ie red AND about 10% of the rest of the spectrum where you get to see your face etc

This reflects the entire spectrum back nigh on high 90% of all light .... ye will see clear as day my red shoes in it .... and the full effect of the sun

I love the full chrome. Looks shiiiney! :-D

Wonder if Chrome comes up as car colour on the logbook, surely the insurance system would just quote as a normal mini?

See I had my doubts about this article when I saw it. I doubt it's the paint that's the reason, probably more that the insurance companies have some sense and won't insure the mini for £38k!

Plus I still don't understand anyone buying a car without checking they can insure it first? For that reason alone, the guy is a helmet.

    Thats exactly it

'Whats the value of the car sir'

    '£38,000'

'You did say Mini Cooper didnt you'

    'Yes'

'Bwahahahahahahahahahaha - Sorry sir we couldnt insure it for that'

That was my thought as to why insurance was refused on that MINI. Wouldn't like to drive towards it with HID's on for sure.

They almost become hard to spot when parked near a glass background.
The Bugatti works as it is broken up with colour (well, black).

I'm not even going to humour the mini-painting fool by looking at his car.
