Another Podium Finish For Team Japspeed!!

After the heady success at Round 1 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship at Teesside, the Japspeed Team were keen to capitalise on their storming start to the season. Driver Shane ‘O Sullivan was carrying strong form going into the event after scooping 1st place at Teesside and claiming a close 2nd place at Prodrift only a week before the event.

O’Sullivan laid his cards out in qualifying and sent a shockwave out to the other Super Pro drivers with a run that bagged 91 points! The highest qualifying run of the weekend! Things looked good.

There were some hurdles that had to be overcome though; Shane Lynch destroyed the custom-made propshaft on his twin-turbo V8 S15 but all was not lost. Shane had not ran for qualification, this meant that he was eligible to use team mate Steve “Baggsy” Biagioni’s Subaru.

Using the Subaru for the very first time ever, especially in qualification runs placed some serious pressure on Lynch’s shoulders. He had 3 chances to qualify and if he didn’t make the grade, he’d be going home! The first run out saw Shane spinning out as he entered the centre section of the track, no problem with two spare runs left. Yet when Shane span again in exactly the same spot on his second run, hearts were in mouths! This was too close for comfort, maybe it would be too much to expect Shane to be able to master the Subaru within seconds of getting behind the wheel.

The team ran over and whispered some words of wisdom in his ear, whatever got said certainly worked! On the third and final run, Shane mastered it! Putting in a seriously exhilarating run, it got huge cheers from the crowd who were clearly rooting for him in these tricky circumstances. The run was so good, he actually gained a qualification spot above Baggsy! So much friendly banter ensued between the lads.

At the end of day 1, the BDC staff read out the standings for qualification. Things looked solid with Team Japspeed gaining 1st, 5th, 6th and 10th place in qualification. It was back to the pits to check the cars over, have a team talk and rest up ready for the finals.

Even when parked up the monster S15 looks angry, meanwhile Team Japspeed technician Andy ensured everything was spotless.

Day 2 started to the sound of engines and screaming tyres. Some last-minute-motorsport repairs were hastily underway on Shane O’ Sullivan’s car while the lads soaked up the track and swapped battle tips.

After practice, it was time for the popular “meet and greet” sessions, were the Norfolk spectators are invited down from the stands to come and say hello to the various teams. It was crammed with people milling around. Team Japspeed were busy signing autographs for keen fans and once the mania had died down, people left the track to return to the stands ready for the finals to begin.

‘O Sullivan was the first out in battle and with the form he’s been carrying, he was expected to be a strong performer. In a complete shocker, he span out! Nobody could have predicted it and you certainly wouldn’t have put money down on it, even though he won the second battle, it wasn’t enough to stop Dan ‘O Brien taking his scalp; he was out and the torch passed to his team mates.

Shane Lynch looked at home in the Subaru and was relishing the seat time, the Japspeed Subaru was taking a pounding as it was being passed between Shane and Baggsy for their battles. Paul “Smokey” Smith was his usual calm and composed self, looking incredibly quick around the Arena track.

Nobody had an easy ride, every victory had to be fought for; the judges often struggled to separate the twinning drivers, such was the strength of the competition. The call for OMT (One More Time) went up in several battles, requiring teams to call for the 5 minute rule to ensure the Maxxis tyres were still in great condition and that there was enough fuel in the tanks.

Baggsy found himself in some serious door-to-door driving with Wayne Keeber in an awesome battle in their quests for climbing up onto the Norfolk podium.

The man quite rightly claiming the weekends glory for Team Japspeed is Smokey Smith, Paul was on song all weekend and played part in one of the most exciting final battles we’ve seen, facing the very consistant force of Steve Moore from SATS Motorsport.

When Smokey and Moore locked horns, it made the hairs on your neck stand up! It was a heart-stopper, both drivers giving the crowd and judges what they came to see, it was a clear OMT, then when the pair went again, there was nothing to separate the two, it was exhausting from the grandstands, nevermind inside those drift cars. The judges gave the signal; it was now “Sudden Death” the slightest of errors would be penalised, it was a showcase of world-class drifting!

The judges put Smokey onto a hard-earned second place and he quite rightly triumphantly sprayed the winners champagne on the podium to cap a wild weekends drifting at Norfolk for Round 2 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship.

Despite it being an emotional rollercoaster, the Team performed as a unit and grabbed some vital championship points to take into the next round. Smokey came second, followed by Baggsy in 4th, Shane Lynch came in at 7th and O’Sullivan still did enough to claim 9th place. It was a solid performance and the team are already moving forward and preparing to take on Teesside again for Round 3 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship. We hope to see you all there!

So as you can see the weekend was a great weekend for us, despite some mechanical issues.
We are busy getting ourselves for round 3 a Teesside Autodrome on the 29th June -1st July where we will be competing also in the Team Triple drift event on the Sunday :thumb:

Big update guys as we have been almost back to back with events ft he last few months!

    More Silverware For Team Japspeed

The middle of the Maxxis British Drift Championship season took Team Japspeed back to Teesside for three intense days of drifting. With the title race gathering pace, there was everything to play for; not forgetting the annual Team Triple Drift Event!

The Team looked great as they all proudly wore their new race suits from Axcel and they just couldn’t wait to get out onto the Autodrome track, regardless of the testing and continually changing weather conditions. During the Friday practice sessions before qualifying, drama struck!

Paul “Smokey” Smith had a high-speed accident as his S15 left the track! Thankfully due to the well-prepared car and safety features, he walked away unscathed but sadly his Nissan was definitely out of action and will have to be fully stripped to confirm it will be safe to repair.

This left the Team facing a brief dilemma but Paul happily jumped into team-mate Shane Lynch’s V8 twin turbo S15 and proved his class by punching in an impressive 2nd place on the qualifying leader board! A huge achievement, especially as it was the first time he’d ever driven the car. It was a run of flair and excitement that the crowd appreciated and a reminder for Smith about the sickening lows and dizzy highs of drifting, he’d experienced it all in the space of an afternoon! When the news of the score broke, it put the smile back on everyone’s face!

At the end of the first day, Team Japspeed looked to be in a powerful position with 1st, 2nd and 14th place qualifications. Everyone was focused on pushing further still for the championship round on the Saturday.

With this being the middle of the season, it really is the “make or break” time for many, so everyone was game for a fight and there would be no easy wins out there on the circuit after the morning practice sessions the Team were lead out onto the circuit for the track parade and for the “meet and greet” with the fans.

During the twin battles “Smokey” proved it wasn’t a lucky run and drove the car as if it was his own, he was powering around the circuit with smoke bellowing from those rear MA-Z1 tyres.

Baggsy’s twin battles were so close that he swapped paint with rivals and O’Sullivan was ruthless and looked to be in a league of his own. After some extremely close-fought world class drifting, it was over to the judges. On the podium we had O’Sullivan with his second 1st place trophy in three appearances and “Baggsy” with another vital 3rd place, grabbing yet more vital points for the championship race.

After the incredible days drifting, the trio of Japspeed drivers took a moment to proudly pose with that well earned silverware.

If this success wasn’t enough, there was also a further chance to shine in the Team Triple Drift event. Team Falken were strong favourites after lifting the trophy for two years running. The Japspeed drivers were game for a fight and sent out a shockwave with a 2nd place qualification, the Team was hungry!

During the team event, the crowd gave a huge appreciation to the smoke and symmetry from the drivers as they worked their way around the Teesside track in perfect formation, they battled hard and pushed close to the clip points while remaining on each other’s doors. This is what the Triple drifting was all about! A true spectacle that just engulfed Teesside in Maxxis tyre smoke. It really was a treat to watch and showcased the deep pool of talent within the Maxxis British Drift Championship. Team Japspeed really got into a rhythm and were rewarded for it with another illustrious 1st place trophy to cap off another fantastic weekends drifting!

    Monster Road to Gatebil!

Japspeed Hit The Road In Style!

When Team Japspeed do something, we do it in style! We were recently invited to join the Monster Energy crew on the “Road To Gatebil 2012″ tour and we just couldn’t turn that opportunity down! A very literal Monster European trip that takes in 8 different cities and locations in a mammoth tour, featuring demonstrations and parties with other people from the Monster family. We duly grabbed our passports and loaded up the Subaru for some European drift madness, here’s just a brief taste of the international insanity! A “raw” video capturing some highlights will be online for you soon!
It all started when we loaded up in Manchester in preparation for the trip South to the first check point and towards the tunnel over to France.

We left the Japspeed HQ in the early hours for a dash South to our first check point and meet up with others from the Monster family.

After cutting through the morning traffic with ease, the Team arrived at the first check-point of the trip.

We didn’t have long to hang around and socialise, the tunnel to France was calling our name!

Once over in France we were bound for the first stop in Amsterdam. On arrival at “The Dam”, we headed over to the Monster compound were we dropped off the cars and we heading into central Amsterdam; we just had to party!

With weary heads we had no time to rest up, we were soon onward bound to head towards Gothenburg City Track for a drifting demo, our time to shine! There was a long road to drive before that though.

After a seriously long road trip from the Japspeed HQ to Gothenburg the crew had arrived, with just enough time to prepare and recharge their batteries ready to put on a display in the morning.

The noise of the Subaru and screamer pipe just ripped through the arena and echoed off the walls! No time for resting though as we had to quickly pack up and head to the roadtrips major goal, Gatebil!

The reception we received in Gatebil was worth the roadtrip alone! We were warmly recieved by the local car enthusiasts, due to the often insane power levels found out here, anything that pushes less than 750bhp isn’t seen as too crazy, but opinions soon changed and respect was given when people realised that the Subaru was converted to RWD and runs a 1JZ engine, the locals love a spot of clever engineering when they see it!

We did have one or two wounds to patch up from a hard tour though. The manifold had developed a crack (not bad considering it had coped impeccably with three years of abuse) and we’d lost the power steering so things needed to be quickly overhauled in preparation for smoking up the Rudskogen circuit.

Baggsy did manage to find some time to catch up with an old friend, local legend Fredric Aasbo!

With a pile of tyres waiting to go, the Team Japspeed mechanics worked hard and proved their worth as they soon had the Subaru out on track burning up the Maxxis MA-Z1 drift rubber! It was soon noticed and acknowledged by the Gatebil regulars, the English smoke machine was here!

After a huge effort and distance travelled, the boys let their hair down and enjoyed some of Gatebils “Aftertrack” entertainment. Beers, live bands and ladies are a great way to blow off some steam from a stressful tour!

Some of the stage shows really did manage to catch the eye! The aftertrack entertainment is amazingly popular as the many thousands of fans proved!

One of these three people is NOT a Team Japspeed mechanic, can you guess which one?

The following day it was back to business out on the track! The Afternoon brought the drifting competition, so we had to go in for qualifying, it would have been rude not to! Wouldn’t it?

Alas it wasn’t to be for Baggsy in the Subaru as he missed out on qualification, but due to the size and skill level of the field and the issues being suffered with the car, it was no huge shame. It gave us a taste of Gatebil and showed a few people what Team Japspeed were all about! But we had no time to look at it all with rose tinted glasses, we had a long road home to cover, not to mention some more stop-offs! But this is only a brief taster, keep your eyes open for our “RAW” Video, coming soon!

Team Japspeed Grab The Glory At Lydden Hill-Round 4 Report

Effort Pays Off With More Silverware at Lydden Hill!

In the run up to Round 4 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship the Team had lots of work to do. Paul Smith was involved in an incident in practice at Round 3 and needed a serious overhaul on the car to get it prepared in time. The mechanics worked tirelessly and it duly made an appearance, which made all the late nights worthwhile.

Once we’d set up in the pits it was soon time to send the team out onto the track for the practice sessions. This brought some issues for the mechanics to deal with. Firstly Shane Lynch’s V8 S15 needed some arch work modification as it was catching on the bumps and gradients of Lydden Hill after a recent alignment change before the event. Shane O’ Sullivan destroyed a differential on the first corner and it was quickly swapped for a spare one. Baggsy was suffering with an issue on the front end as it was knocking which required the mechanics attention and Paul Smith found he has lost some water due to it having a pin-hole leak from his accident at Teesside. So, it was a tough time for the team but they dug deep and made it happen. When practice started, a full field of four cars was out in force!

Practice sessions were a tight affair, with only a handful of points separating large numbers of drivers. It was a tough one. The Subaru was suffering from a misfire and Baggsy decided it would be prudent to use Shane O’ Sullivan’s S15, it served him well! All of the team qualified! With positions 4th, 10th, 11th and 14th achieved; things were set for the following days battles.

Shane ‘o Sullivan was the first shock as he lost out to Barry Leonard in the first round. This at least allowed Baggsy the free reign of the S15 as he battled against a familiar competitor to him, rival Steve Moore. Baggsy made sure he did enough to progress onwards and next up was Shane Lynch.

Lydden Hill is almost home turf for Shane and it showed as he looked on form again against Ashley Stevens and he pulled clear to take the win.

Paul Smith was facing the powerful SATS Supra, Smith engulfed the hill with Maxxis tyre smoke as he battled to victory.

Onto the Great 8, we still had three drivers in contention for the podium. Lynch had to face an imposing new rival in the form of Patrick Ritzmann. Unphased by the BDC newcomer, Shane stuck onto the door with close proximity that gave the judges what they wanted to see.

Next up was a Team Japspeed battle as Paul Smith and Baggsy faced up. It was a close affair until an error from Baggsy put him into the gravel trap and allowed Smith to progress onwards to the Semi Final.

Shane Lynch once against proved to have regained his form as he pulled incredibly close onto Barry Leonard, it was an obvious win for Shane and put him into the final!

Paul Smith didn’t want to be left out and had some good luck when Mike Marshall had a failure allowing Smith to drift cleanly and onto the final against his team mate Shane. This is when everyone started to stand up for a better view, Shane wasn’t going to make it easy for Smith and went in hard and put in another one of his previously impressively close runs, maybe too close though as some mild contact from Shane forced him to correct. It was in the hands of the judges to separate them now.

The efforts from the mechanics before and during the event, had been rewarded by some true on-the-edge driving and noticed by the Judges. The just rewards came in with a win in the Team Event for Team Japspeed!

If that wasn’t enough we had both Paul “Smokey” Smith in first place! Shane Lynch in a commendable second place and with both Baggsy and Shane ‘O Sullivan in the points too, the championship points table is starting to look very strong! With two more high profile events left in the calendar, nothing is taken for granted and it could all dramatically change once again. Be sure to come and see us live in action at Silverstone for the next round of the Maxxis British Drift Championship.

Following on in the series of thrilling Team Japspeed videos from Josh Holdsworth, we have the latest instalment which captures the action and atmosphere from Round 4 at Lydden Hill. We hope you enjoy it as much as we and the spectators did. The video really gives a taste of the high speed, sideways, smoke filled drama that is the Maxxis British Drift Championship!

Success For Smith At Silverstone- Round 5

Team Japspeed Battle It Out At Trax!

The build up for Round 5 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship at Silverstone for Trax was tense for driver Shane ‘O Sullivan. The Skyline engine in his S15 was causing problems and true to last-minute-motorsport form, the guys worked around the clock! The sickly engine was hauled out in night before the event and mapped in the early hours before the event started! It was hardcore dedication and while they may have been tired, they pulled it off!

The practice sessions allowed the drivers to get a feel for the fast paced Silverstone circuit. Once everyone had been on track, the BDC Super Pro drivers all lined up at the Maxxis truck for the ever popular autograph signing session. Once the announcement that autograph signing was underway, the BDC pit area was a sea of people all hunting down the signature of their favourite driver.

In this event, we were joined by the Speedhunters team that consisted of Formula D drivers Fredric Aasbo and Darren “D-Mac” McNamara. They would be the men to watch and beat, they have strong pedigree and very capable cars but the Team Japspeed drivers had no fear.

Once autographs had been signed, it was time to get back trackside for qualification. Only for rain to come down in the vital qualifying sessions! It made for a perilous time on track, with many drivers slipping off the preferred line, or indeed the track altogether. The Japspeed drivers remained composed and dug deep to put the points on the table, all four qualified for the main event later in the day. Everyone gathered around the BDC pit area to hear the results and the drivers took a moment to prepare for the main event!

Before the circuit became engulfed in thick tyre smoke, the BDC Super Pro Drivers were led around in a parade for the spectators to enjoy!

The man of the weekend was none other than Paul “Smokey” Smith. Paul has looked strong all season and maintained great consistency. This weekend was arguably his toughest challenge yet with an uphill battle to the podium.

Paul faced a testing run with a battle against team-mate Baggsy to begin, quickly followed by the always competitive Mark Luney in the SATS Supra.

Then without a moment to breathe, he was pitted against Ireland’s D-Mac in a tough duel that went to “OMT” before Paul was announced a worthy victor. Then in the final, Smokey had to line up against the Norwegian Hammer Fredric Aasbo! This was a true world-class battle which was as fast and as close as it gets! The judges agreed as they needed a further OMT to be able to separate them! It was over to the podium to hear the results.

After a fiercely difficult draw and run to the podium, Paul Smith stood his ground and performed outstandingly! Grabbing a worthy and highly credible 2nd place. While Simon Perry took 3rd place and Fredric Aasbo completed the double with two 1st places in two years at Silverstone! The Trax event was hugely popular, with over 16,000 attending to see the Maxxis British Drift Championship in all its glory and to witness Smiths brilliant run. Be sure to catch up with us at Knockhill as we hope to continue our great run of form!

We have captured the spirit of the day, interviews with Shane Lynch and Steve Biagioni and a taste of the sideways action in another one of our incredible videos, shot by Josh Holdsworth. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

The 2012 Maxxis British Drift Championship was brought to a close in thrilling style at the Knockhill circuit in Dunfermline, Scotland. The event was Round 5 of the championship for the drivers in the Semi-Pro and Pro classes but Round 6 for the drivers in the Super-Pro class.

Going into the round Team Japspeed drivers were already dominating the sharp end of the championship points table, with Paul “Smokey” Smith, Shane O’Sullivan and Stephen “Baggsy” Biagioni sitting in first, second and third (respectively). Shane Lynch was also sitting in 9th place, and it was Shane (along with Smokey) that qualified within the top 16, meaning that they made it through to the Top 16 battles that would determine the winner.

In a great show of sportsmanship, Shane had actually offered Smokey the use of his car for qualifying as Smokey’s 1JZ powered S15 was suffering from some mechanical gremlins. Both were hoping they wouldn’t be drawn against each other in the Top 16 battles as this would mean one driver wouldn’t have a car to use! Unfortunately, Baggsy and Shane O’Sullivan in his RB25 powered S15 were unable to make the cut.

Smokey’s first opponent was Wayne Keeber; a victory here meant that Paul made it through to the “Great Eight”. Shane’s first opponent was Barry Leonard; another victory for the team saw Shane joining Smokey in the Top 8. Shane's car was demonstrating just how reliable the V8 twin turbo setup is, with his S15 having no issues with being abused by both drivers throughout the battles.

Unfortunately, the draw for the Top 8 saw the dreaded pairing of Shane and Smokey. As only one could go through to the Top 4 and as Shane had been kind enough to lend his car to Paul, Smokey also displayed his great sportsmanship and decided to withdraw from the competition, allowing Shane to progress to the Semi-Finals.

Shane’s next opponent was James Fuller (who went on to win the weekend’s Hard Charger award). After some hard-fought battles it was Shane that found himself being knocked out, but all was not lost as he was still in with a shot of getting third place on the podium.

The battle for third and fourth was between Shane and Team Falken’s Matt Carter, with the final spot on the podium eventually being awarded to Shane.

Once the dust had settled from the weekend’s event it was time to take a step back and see how the team had fared in the final championship standings. After six exhilarating rounds of the BDC it was Team Japspeed’s very own Paul “Smokey” Smith that was to be crowned British Drift Champion 2012. Team mate Shane O’Sullivan finished in 3rd, Stephen “Baggsy” Biagioni came 5th and Shane Lynch a very respectable 7th.

With all four Team Japspeed drivers finishing in the Top 10 it was unsurprising to see that Team Japspeed also won the Constructors title in convincing style! As you can imagine there were smiles all round and a big celebration was in order!

Team Japspeed would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, as without them we wouldn’t have achieved the success that we have: Maxxis Tyres, Monster Energy, Factory Moto, Spy+, Rota, Corbeau, Rock Oil, Samco and Exedy, thank you for all of your support throughout the season!

    Congrats guys.

Nice to see we're not the only ones with mechanical gremlins .

To be Honest Paul's has always been the most reliable car in the team and he is usually the one sat with his feet up!

However I think that he finally decided to go for it in 2012 and as a result he has won the championship!!! So its been worth it!!!!

Wow, it's been a while since we updated this! Where to start...

2013 was a super hectic season for Shane and our VH45 S15 but overall the car was extremely reliable and Shane's driving was very much on point.

One mid-season change we did make was a move to KW Competition coilovers which you will now find on our Lexus IS200 and Paul Smith's S15.

KW's resident setup expert paid us a visit at the Pembrey round of last year's BDC and helped to set up the car.

    On-board footage from Pembrey:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5UF0lik9d8

    Teesside Team Event:

    Lydden Hill, BDC Rd4:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpfvfX8JwXA

With the BDC season over and with Autosport International out of the way...

...it's time for a fresh rebuild in time for the 2014 season! The car has taken a lot of abuse since it's debut back in 2010 and it's come to the point where a strip down and rebuild is the best course of action.

    Let the strip down commence!

    Stripped and hosed down

Time to for the clean up to begin!

The first job to address is the wiring loom which has been modified a number of times since it was first built with various add ons such as the flat-shift system. Then we'll turn our attention to the shell itself, along with the suspension and new powerplant.

Fresh Japspeed suspension arms all round:

All back on the car and bolted up to the Geomaster hubs:

Stiggy at Drift-Shack Motorsport Inc. flocked the dash for us and also a few mugs while he was at it...!

And then some big parts started to arrive! First up, the fresh VH45 sporting forged internals and a whole host of other upgrades (more on this later):

The twin GT28Rs were sent off to Lee at Owen Developments for a full refurb and they will be back with us shortly with a much improved spec:

We also sent off the manifolds, downpipes, screamer pipes and intake pipes to Camcoat to be ceramic coated - we have been blown away by how these look now they have been returned:

K&N also sent over a brace of new 57i filters, 1" filters for the breather setup and filter socks to help protect the filters from the elements:

Our new brake lines arrived from HEL Performance, finished in a subtle Monster Energy green!

Another new addition to the build - a set of ASNU 750cc injectors for the new engine! Let's hope they can keep up with everything else we have planned for the fresh build...

The turbos went back on and the exhaust was modified to include new 3.5" shotgun tailpipes.

We've also been overhauling the fuel system and the final component was the fuel tank! The original item was a bit outdated and not as refined as we'd have liked so we mocked up a cardboard template and sent it down to the guys at AH Fabrications. The finished product blew us away and once we'd finished admiring it it was straight off to our workshop to be fitted

More goodies! First up, a massive thanks to Exedy for supply a brand new triple plate clutch. It's a 350Z item and mates straight up with our Quaife sequential box (for which the bellhousing was originally designed around the 300ZX box that we used to use). It's rated to around 800lb/ft of torque so hopefully should be deal with what we've got in store for it!

Next up was a fresh selection of silicone from our friends at Samco who provided a whole host of new boost and coolant hoses, along with some straight sections that we could cut up for those areas that off the shelf hoses aren't available for.

With the rear mounted rad and water pump setup the coolant pipework is a little unconventional but from this selection we are able to complete all but one or two sections of the piping - we'll post some more pictures of the fresh setup shortly.

A shot of the rear mounted cooling setup, fuel tank and new 3.5" shotguns.

A few pics of the refreshed cooling setup:

    High flow water pump
    14" twin speed electric fans
Japspeed JZA80 radiator & rad cap
    Aluminum conduit piping

That's about it for the last few months of building - we'll keep you posted as we add the finishing touches and take it testing over the next few weeks!

Thanks for the kind words guys!
More progress! First up was the rear mounted cooling setup - having spoken to a handful of experts in the field we decided to have a rethink and go for a slightly different setup which involved introducing a roof scoop and angling the radiator backwards. We'll get some pictures of the completed setup shortly.

One matter that needed addressing was the rather ugly and inefficient OEM inlet manifold which we decided to replace with a Porsche Cayenne item. While it may seem a bit obscure to run a Porsche inlet on a Nissan engine the manifold's fantastic flow characteristics are impossible to ignore.

However, in order to fit the manifold we needed a pair of bespoke flanges making up. There was only one company we were going to call and that was Die-Max Engineering up in Scotland, owned and run by BDC competitor Steven Donnelly's family. Suffice to say the flanges are a work of art and we can't wait to get them fitted - stay tuned!

Next up was a lovely delivery from our sponsors at Maxxis - a plethora of their awesome MA-Z1 drift tyres ready to be destroyed, thanks guys!

Obviously we needed some wheels to put them on - enter some XXR 530s in 18x9.75 et20 sizes.

We couldn't wait to chuck them on the S15 and take a look - with fresh paint and the new wheel setup we can only imagine how mean this thing would look driving down the street...but next up is fresh vinyl ready for Round 1 of the BDC!

That's quite some redevelopment. I'm surprised you didn't just build a new car!

Car looks sweet, is that a subaru bonnet scoop you are using for your roof one?
