Yea, it was a pretty good deal. I dont think he really knew what he had. But it didnt include handbrake cables. Since then ive spent £250 on new:

    pistons
    seals
    discs
    hoses

and I still need to buy pads. I'm thinking either DS2500 or Carbotech CP8's. Any opinions?

Good thread mate, keep it up, keeping an eye on this, will be doing similar once I can find a workshop where I could potentially strip the car.

Basically increase the oil capasity by around 1litre. Ive sacked off the diff cooler so I wanted as much oil as I could get around the diff. It also has baffle plates to stop splosh.

Basically took 3 steps back tonight . That caliper I had in top coated I laqueered a couple of nights ago and it proceeded to just peel off in my fingers tonight

Spent the night picking it all off and sanding the caliper back down for another top coat

Right so After loosing interest again. Im jumping back on the band wagon.

This is what the subframe now looks like:

Apex components were disassembled and sent off to the zinx coater too.

Handbrake mechanism starting to go on:

Again, all zinc plated and brand new brake shoes

Getting close to bolting this all back up again now

How much did all the Zinc plating cost you fella?

I want to have all my bolts done when mine goes back up on the car

Also can you PM me how much your diff and backplate were and where you got them from

    Excellent work, Lewis

Whats the trick to getting the prop bolts off (apart from getting Jesus-ninja to come around to do it for you)?
