Cool E60 BMW M5 - Another weekend, another Detail

I detailed this lovely M5 today. I have a real soft spot for these so it was a pleasure to work on

The car was pretty filthy when when to start with and the wheels didn't look like they had been cleaned properly for a good while. So the wheels were cleaned using Bilberry, and the rest of the car was washed using the normal two bucket method and then clayed. Then Masked up and polished with my Silverline Rotary using Menzerna Power Finish and Menzerna 5'' polishing pad and a 4'' Sonus SFX-3 Spot Pad for the tight spots.

Then for glaze and wax I decided to go a little unconventional in an attempt to give the car a little more depth and used Poorboys Black Hole followed by Dodo Juice Purple Haze. Even though they are meant to be used on dark coloured cars, I think it's added a little something.

    On Arrival

A couple of pictures of the bonnet after polishing

    And the finished car

You've done a great job mate. Paint as hard as older bms? the newer ones are supposed to be a bit softer
Never used blackhole...fascinated by the finish it makes now..

Awesome results as usual there dude, looks stunning!

I'd love to a) have the time to be able to make a car look like that and b) have a car worth making look like that

I've changed the audio on the video now

A Pro detailer would charge £250 upwards. I'm just doing it in my spare time though

Looks fantastic mate. Another good job.

Only problem will be he will not want to sell it now.

Will have to sort out a slot for the corvette. I am only in the area during the week so may have to leave car there for you.

Can't wait to see what you can do with it.

    Tom

You sure you haven't changed the pictures?

The last but one picture looked like a cap missing, but having looked a bit closer it is there. Must be my old age creeping in.
