My new TOP SECRET 34, got collected today wahoo!

Some of you may have seen my recent thread here:

    http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=475167

Well, today, the dream came true, & the day has finally come.

The "Competizione R" as Smokey Nagata names this 34, is now on its way from my friend Gio (owner and person who built this car with Smokeys input over 8 years)

Before I go onto talk about the collection & shipping. A number of people have asked me what the difference is on the limited edition 30 unit HKS Vcam model I have. So Gio explained to me that the difference is:

(Gio and another friend of ours Dave, purchased 2 units via Top Secret, with HKS keeping 2 back themselves) As far as we know, no other units exist outside the RH9 demo cars.

    1. These units were not offered to customers to purchase
    2. Sold to the RH9 shops only, such as Top Secret
    3. GT-R’s had to be “pre-approved” by HKS Japan
    4. Were pre-production models, to show what the VCAM to do
    5. Fitted to the RH9 demo cars
    6. All ltd edition VCAMS were hand built, with superior parts than is widely found in the VCAMs now available.
    7. mental price tag lol

I hope this helps people’s questions.

I thought this would be interesting for others to see, and certainly makes the wait for me more exciting!

At 10am local Japanese time, we arranged for a bespoke car trailer to arrive at Gio’s & collect the HipoGTR.

No expense is being spared in bringing this car to the UK in tip top condition, as I want it to arrive in perfect condition.

Gio was kind enough to take some pictures of it, as it left….

    Waiting for its low loader….

    Snug and lovely interior

    Truck arrives….

    Next stop….the docks

I would have thought they would have raised it. Stop it getting bashed on the boat ramps.

I don't even want to guess at the cost involved with buying cars from japan these days

there used to be a time when you could pop down the docks and pick up a bargain! these days they want to pull your pants down and slip you a length !

    Hope you enjoy it though

when i first bought my 34 GT-R (3 years ago) rate was 225 to the £

    its now 120 to £

    still worth every penny

its the most complete road going GT-R in JP (even smokey at the recent Fuji GT-R Magazine meet, said so, he was suprised it was being sold)

Car was stripped to the shell and seamwelded etc, no expense spared, i know i am very very very lucky to own such a RH9 car but ive wanted this car so much since first sitting in it in 2006. (when it was bayside blue and pushing out more BHP)

    used to look like this

(GT-R trip to Hakone skyline pass near Fuji)

few more pics from DPA earlier in the year

Yeah, you'll be able to cruise at 55 instead of 50 now
