I forgot that bit - still need to wash mine too
my cars ready.... just no mot, no tax and no insurance and no money to go to germany sniffle sniffle.
have a good one guys next year!!!!
You deffinatly can't come as a passenger? If you can get to Bristol and don't mind my slightly odd ferry timings/music then I have a spare seat
My cars ready bar a set of performance pads.
carbone loraine pads on order
There fantastic pads deacon. Think I'll get some Cosworth track pads. Ment to be quite good.
Think all that needs doing now is proper pads and steering rack bushes
The 200 will not be ready, too much needed and specialists can not fit it in for a few weeks, nearly took a diesel instead...
...but good?? sense has prevailed and I've take the Prodrive RX8 instead.
Just need a new battery and yellow stuff pads all round, and a electric window motor!!
It's the perfect car for the Ring...did the job last year
2004 - on : 1999 S14a 398bhp 378lb/ft
2010 - on : 2007 RX8 PZ
1998 - 2004 : 1991 S13
S14 is out of the body shop. Just doing some tidying up, fitting buckets etc then need to do some miles to make sure it's all ok after it's 9 month lay up.
Car is still in the garage, eep, but hopefully get it back in the next few days...
Insurance got sorted this morning thanks to the amazing customer service at sky
Scrapping the barrel a bit with funds but gonna try my hardest to get front pads and brake fluids changed then she is pretty much sorted
Mines nearly ready, just about to set off for mapping shortly.
Oil and Filter change, braided hoses and some decent fluid and im sorted
Gonna strip mine out as well for the banter LOL
Done the oil and filter - Full brake fluid fluss is next wednesday (Annoyed I couldn't get it in before Japfest )
Just need to buy beam bender thingies and give it a last wash just before I go
Nearly ready, mines is booked in with DCMS on Wednesday, to get the front pads, and diff oil changed, then its ready to go
Well the Cosworth trackmasters are fitted, just need to bed them in., exhaust blow sorted, fluids topped up and a rattle or fixed. Just need to change the brake fluid. Not long now
Brake Fluids and new pads on order, S14 front brakes going on this weekend as long as I get the car back from the garage before then... You could say im cutting it a bit fine lol
Possibly a good thing I didn't get it flushed as I boiled the fluid at Japfest (again ) and destroyed the rear pads
Fluids being done tomorrow and have a full set of Porterfields coming which will hopefully be fitted before we leave - otherwise the special guest will have a job when we get there
Flushing out the coolant at some point before we go aswell as she overheated a bit at Combe...
Special Guest tim?
I want a sub 9min lap this year with you as well
lol - I want a sub 9 aswell
Dependant on traffic and weather though really I guess - the car should be good for it though
As for the special guest - I'm not sure he's so special this year as we know he's coming
Friday afternoon to do list - change oil and coolant, fit new brake pads all round and flush the system with some dot 5.1. Change spark plugs. Replace all boost jubillee clips with mikalor clamps. Get wheels balanced....think that's about it but i'm sure to think of something else that needs doing.
Thankfully having a run over to wales on teh weekend so that should hopefully highlight any last issues i might have.
Just been out with the S14 on a photo shoot on the moors. We abandoned it due to rain but still got to do some miles in the car and give it a bit of grief. All ok apart from the clutch that has decided for some reason, after umpteen events and thousands of miles, that it suddenly needs bleeding as the pedals dropped to the floor.
Will investigate for potential slave or master cylinder issue.
