I bought this on a whim, and although it’s pretty much everything you’d want from a daily s-body, to put it simply, it’s not my mx5. I planned to use this until May 1st keeping my mx5 out of the salt, but as soon as this goes, the mx5 is coming back from the tuner straight away. Until then, there’s no room in the garage.
Spec:
- 324bhp / 310ft/lb – Surrey Rolling Road
- 113k km (Just before I bought it a Dakota digital speed convertor was fitted so it now reads in MPH accurately)
- Mot until October and a few months tax
- 1997 (P reg)
- About £25k of receipts in there from a previous owner who had it from 2006 to 2009
- Gets 32-33mpg on a run motorway run around 80mph
- Obviously, the car does have a few marks like a stone chipped front bumper etc, its 15yrs old, but it’s pretty free of any shopping trolley dings etc. It turns heads, looks mint, and drives very well as either a track car for the weekends, or as a daily. I have been using it every day for the past few weeks whilst my mate is borrowing the Aristo, and it’s a nice comfy daily with lots a presence.

- Z32 rear brake setup so handbrake is awesome
- Braided lines all round
- ABS removed professionally

- Low mileage tight LSD (new oil 16/2/11)
- Fidanza aluminium flywheel
- Exedy paddle clutch
- Braided clutch line with new slave cylinder
