Just have. They'd of been better off with a lower subscription so it's actually worth paying! $400 a year...... nah

No mate can't make it this year which is annoying as I think it could handle track without blowing up now!

I'm at Gravity Show, FittedUK and 100% Tuning.

Few pics from the other day

Gravity Show was truly awesome. Such an amazing quality of cars. And being indoors is so easy compared to the usual grass / rain / wind scenario!

Got the car back in the air in bits again. Putting the redline MT90 box oil in, replacing the rear box oil seal and fitting my new Z1 Motorsport Short Shifter. This looks a real nice piece of kit especially compared to the rattly eBay junk that's on there currently

    200SX S14a Project

Z1 motorsports short Shifter installed along with a Tomei Duracon shift knob.

What can I say! It's transformed the gearbox feel. Feels so much better than cheap short Shifter and is silent with no noise transfer from the box at all. Helped by the non metallic shift knob too.

Also I've put Redline MT90 oil in. Not sure whether it's the new short Shifter or the oil but there is no more synchro grinding at high rpm going from 3rd to 4th.

Also was lucky enough to get an indoor spot at FittedUK alongside L16JAY. Was a fantastic show felt great to be in such a good venue!

Just one more show left this year then can rip it all to bits and carry on with the refurb work underneath

I know he just measured the outer diameter of projector when he had them apart and ordered them off eBay.

Got back yesterday from the 100% Tuning show in a Rotterdam. Was a great show and had a great drive there and back. Rotterdam was cool too

    After it’s post journey wash

    All set up

There were some killer builds there

And on the tunnel on the way back

Would highly recommend the show to all.

Cars back off the road now for continued refurb / modification work.

So got the car back up on stands where it spends most of its time..

First job is to refurb the hubs and driveshafts that I ran out of time to do in all the work last year. Dropped them off.

Unfortunately the ball joint shank had come loose on my japspeed lower control arms and worn the taper in the hub so one had to be replaced. Once stripped sent what I could for powder coating.

I’ve also been struggling to keep the turnbuckle tight on the lower control arms so I’ve had it drilled for wire locking and made a custom spanner to get them tight enough should stop them working loose!

After some serious reading on nissanroadracing I decided to ditch the polybushes in the hubs as they cause binding. I noticed this myself when reassembling last year. The way the arms move during suspension travel they bind straight away on the polybushes. So swapped them out for hardrace uprated bushes. These copy the original design and have room for the arms to move side to side as required.

Assembled the hubs yesterday so they are ready to fit now. Excitingly I’ve painted all the bolt heads with POR15 to stop them going scabby.

Finished the driveshafts today too. One of these is a replacement as there was a crack in the metal of the Inner CV. I need to strip it down but it seems as if something has worn it through from the inside.

It’s such a dream refitting everything when it’s so clean. I can work under the car without anything falling in my eyes!

Got all the driveline refitted today.

    Looking good under here now!

With that chunk of work complete it’s on to the refurb of the inner arches and rear panel so dropped the bumper off to get access. It’s not too bad as I did a quick rub back and coating of wax oil about 5 years ago.

Interested about what you’re saying about the bushes binding, I’ve got them on mine and if they are binding I’d rather not have them in!
