Yeah had a blast! Will defo be going again next year
Already asked some of the dutch boy's if they wanted to join in. They were enthusiastic about it so should be more out there next year...
JC: PM
Great weekend, looking forward to next year.
Well and truly home now, good to meet you kees - next year i need a passenger ride with you
Then i hope you know the track, cause i was gunning it on pointers from JC and Joe
Something new for me to trust someone you just met with, well, everything
Next on the to do list:
Get a console and try to remember the game that was spot on with the track....
Get some drifting lessons so i actually know what happens when i drive it on/over the edge.
Goal set, under 11 mins. So jealous of the 8.44 in a stock-ish s13
I'm home, fed and running a nice deep bath, really got to get some sleep soon.
What an awesome trip, I can't wait to get back there again.
It was good to meet everyone and I had a brilliant time, Huge thanks to Cornwall for organising the trip - get well soon and Crazyshad - Glad I didn't scare you too much
My car was starting to lack power by the M25 and very noisy by the the M11 but has made it back and will be stripped tomorrow and sorted in an hour
Me and Dave got home about 9ish.. Car still running fine, so happy I've made it there, got round the ring a few times and home without any major problems.. All though I will have an oil cooler fitted for next time
Thanks for everyone that went who made it a brillant time, fun times lots of LOL moments..
Was great to meet you Mark
Looking forward to next year. Be great if you can get some of the dutch boys to join in too
Oh and I still want your turbo...
Home.
That was a long day and I didn't sleep well last night either.
Ace to meet everybody. Food was excellent (I have pics ). The weather was very kind to us.
EDIT: and the nearby ring road was kind of cool too
No significant casualties to cars or bodies, just the odd graze and chunk taken out
Am trying to get some guy's to go to, might not be the sxoc.nl crew.
The guy's from wanganwarriors are a great bunch to hang out with to! Those were the lads who actually stood next to my car on sunday, to bad i had a flat battery in my phone, we could have met up wit them.
If they got any pics i'll make sure they will get to the boards.
p.s. you're not getting my turbo!
GTR Evo, it's only on PC though
Nice to meet you
Got home about 11PM (Only down side to my scenic route and later ferry ), had an awesome time and achieved all my objectives so am a very happy chappy
Great work by Cornwall on the organising, thanks to everyone who helped out - and to ***** for being a cnut
just downloaded that tim, its good actually, far better than the rFactor mods
Xbox 360 with Forza 3 or PS3 with GT5
Out of the 2 GT5 is the most accurate track wise but on both games using the standard settings you don't get any idea at all of just how steep the hills are or how tight & blind some of the the corners really are,but...........
If you go into the settings of either game & switch on the multi screen option then set the angle between screens to 50% or 50 degrees depending on what game you have it changes dramatically,it becomes amazingly accurate, hills are steeper, corners tighter & blind corners & crests become just that,I had a play with higher & lower settings but 50 is about as close to the real things as it gets, especially on GT5 as the track is more up to date & there is more scenery than Forza.
Anyone who has been should give these settings a try,you will definitely be impressed
