Sleeved them to add extra strength and re-fitted.
Maybe a tad low?

Cut and fitted some bonnet pins (required for BDC) nearly cried!
Made a new towing point, just a ratched strap hooked around and tack welded in place
Car alingment now done with new -6 degree camber and lowered to suitable height.
Got some professional pics done by a mate, will post up the results once there through.
On the trailer ready for round two, cya there!
Cheers
Ian
the car looks seriously mean!!!!
Qualified 10th at Norfolk but got put out in the top 16 by Max Marshal. Great weekend, car went well and a huge thanks to the organisers, especially Malx on the start line, what a guy!
Car was sporting new SXOC stickers and sponsor graphics for wefixalloys.co.uk (Alloy wheel repair specialists).
Erm... how much dust is there at Norfolk, gunna be cleaning it for weeks to come.
Ian
Fair plays man
Yeah. Norfolk dust is ****. If it was my local place I sure would be running arch liners and a undertray!
Whooopsie
Had a massive boost leak at Teesside Round 3 which completely fooked up qualifying, bodged it temporary with duck tape for the remainder of the weekend! , had an awesome time though, especially Saturday practice and the Team Triple Event. Tagged onto Team Taysilla, here is a vid of the result:
Think the exhaust of Adam Simmons skyline had a light brush with the oil cooler.
Here are a few of my favourite pics:
Back home and the boost leak was found using a home made bung with air line and a nifty can of WD40, this was the suspect hose, sleeved and secured. Hopefully this will be problem solved, wasnt hitting boost till about 6k rpm, which ment alot of limiter action and clutch killing.
North East Motorsfest at Nissan Plan Sunderland tomorrow, come say hi if your about.
Ian
Nice vid and some nice drifting.
Cheers Dude
Epic build thread! Your whoopsie is now my laptops background
Cheers man, Updates soon prep for Lydden Hill this week.
Re-furbished wheels courtesy of wefixalloys.co.uk, you should see the works rims! Awesome job done on these, there better than new there that good.
Started modifying the front lower arms for more lock, new ball joints and adding bump stops this time, also going to brace and box in the arms for added strength.
Will run until the wheel hits the tension rod then set bump stops accordingly.
More To Come
Ian
Still waiting on ball joints, but got the arms welded up ready. SHould be strong enough.
Also changed the VVT sprocket, cleaned the spray bars and put new oil in and a filter on. Car sounds and revs completely different now, hoping its because the timing is now correct with working vvt and not the other way around. :s
Ian
Clutch kick nazi!
Why thanks, fair to say the cars under powered. gunna die at Lydden hill :s
Just realised I never post a lock pic.
Bit of a dilema with this, do I:
a: Go Stage 3a SR20det
b: BMW M62 4.4ltr v8
Lost, want to keep the weight down but need more power at the same time. BMW is looking like a winner but alot more hassle, although I could make my money back selling the SR? :s
the M62 is a **** load more work wiring side.... if your serious about it really think of budgeting a standalone ECU...
Dont knock the M60. no Vano's worrys and 3 wires to get it running in a s14
If i were to fit something like the v8 I would look into mega squirt or if the budget stretches maybe emerald or omex. At least that way if you get bored of it you can just bolt on mods and get it re mapped.
Also a shed load easier to wire up than a stock loom and can be made to look neater too.
Hmmmm....I reckon sell WaveyDavey the SR to get his car back on the road too and go V8 NE
Nicked the lock photo for the Club's FB as that's a very cool pic
