What causes the swirl marks I keep hear being mentioned?
2004 - on : 1999 S14a 398bhp 378lb/ft
2010 - on : 2007 RX8 PZ
1998 - 2004 : 1991 S13
Bad cleaning materials, sponges etc, car washes, all that malarky I believe!
where did the car go? all i see is trees and bush's with a set of wheels propped up against them?!

The main cause is poor washing technique but anything that touches the car, particularly if there is dirt or dust on the car, can cause swirl marks. Swirls are basically very fine scratches in random directions, but the way they catch the light makes them look like they swirl around light sources.Originally Posted by Scottie
