Auto gauge oil Pressure wiring?
Hi i have a auto gauge oil pressure gauge. I have the gauge in and lit up and the sensor in the sandwich plate.
The sender has two terminals 'WK' and 'G'.
I know one is the green wire from the gauge and one is to ground but dont know which is which.
Cant find a copy of the instruction anywhere.
Its the smoked series gauge.
the sender is this one.

They are commonly:
RED- 12V ACCESSORY POWER
BLACK - GROUND
COLOUR 1 - SENDER UNIT SIGNAL
COLOUR 2 - BACKLIGHT DIMMER
so if you have got one going to illumination, then it leaves the other one to go to sender unit signal, does this help?

Connect the red wire to a voltage source that is operational when the ignition is in the "ACC" position.
Connect the black wire to a ground point.
Connect the green wire to the terminal on the top of the oil pressure sender unit.
Connect the orange wire to a circuit that is operational when the headlights or parkers are turned on. (eg: the small light in the ashtray).

google is definately your friend, they are definately online, from memory, the wk goes to the gauge and the g just needs grounding. *i think*

I searched google for over an hour. Iv been told before G is to the green wire and wk is the ground or warning light so I still don't know. I need to know it's working before I start my engine after it's rebuild.

It's a bit strange that the sender would need a ground, since it's already grounded through the engine. So the second terminal on the gauge could be for a warning light. You could just plug them in to test it

Right found an answer."G" to the green wire on the gauge and "WK" to ground.
On this pic you can see WK (ground)
(my sticker has fallen off)
