Glad it's all working out
If you need any manly pillar drills or welders (all 3 phase) then let me know, my landlord has a collection of them and will part with them for a bit of money

current status: 180 a bit broken but to be repaired.
At the same time as collecting the Fly Press, I managed to pick up a more Heavy Duty Vice, than what I had previously.
Got all the old paint stripped off.
Chemically treated the Surface Rust.
Then got both parts in Primer.
Ready for Paint.
Good to see everything is moving along nicely Will and more importantly good to meet you the other night.
Shout when ready
Managed to get hold of some Old Paper Machines. ( The things that apply Tape to an edge of Paper, that you use to Mask a Car for Painting )
Can't find any pictures from Stripping them, But they were Yellow and Red, and pretty Battered !
After removing old Powder Coat.
Cleaned the rust off with Scotchbrite.
And Primed.
Also recently managed to purchase some Brand New, Industrial Racking for a good price.
It's 1800mm High, 1800mm Wide and 600mm Deep, with 3 Shelves rated at 300KG each.
And there's 3 of them, So about 5.4 Meters of Racking in total, Which should be plenty !
The only down side being they're Bright Orange and Dark Blue.
Prepped and ready for Paint.
The plan for the color scheme is White and Pastel Blue.
The Walls of the Unit are already White, So the plan was for a Pastel Blue Floor instead of a Light Grey, or equivalent.
The Tools and Racking will get a similar treatment.
I had the Paint made up in a 2K Gloss Industrial Coating, as it's cheaper than a normal Car Paint, And should be quite hard wearing.
Started with the White going on the Inside edges of the Racking.
Also gave the Fly Press another coat of Primer in Preparation.
And then shot the White.
Followed by the Paper Machine.
Then flipped all the Racking over, and made a start on the good side.
And finally got the last Coats on the Press.
I was wondering after all this stripping and prep what had happened to the painting! White in a workshop though?
i used to work for a friend who had abit of money and opend a place , what let him down was he did not have a business plan or did not know the hidden costs with this type of place , start off small and build a good customer base , get your name out there by placing adds having mobile rollingroad day .
anything to let people know you are there , oh and do the math.
good luck looks like a nice place
I've only got a small space to get things done, So I'm trying to get as many things as I can, prepped and painted at once.
It's sounds crazy, But I wanted it to be done in a way that I'm always motivated to keep it clean, and work cleanly as well.
Things like the Press, You only ever touch the Handle, and that's Blue, So it should stay that clean hopefully !
Thanks for the advice Yoji
This is the place I've budgeted for, which is why I've made sacrifices with commuting, etc.
I've got a bit of a customer base, and also an amount of work lined up for some time, Unfortunately I've not had anywhere to do it.
I had the choice of getting a Unit here, and get something moving, Or emigrating to America.
I decided to give it a go here for a while !
Thanks dude, Appreciate it.
Wow this place looks great. I didnt know there was anywhere near me that actually had a smooth floor like that. Looks perfect, may have to pop by if my car is ever back on the road.
You've finally cracked it! Nice one Will
I'll have to pop down for a nose once you're settled in, congrats mate
