    i dont know if a morotbike battery would be small enough to fit under the engine i need to make a blanking plug for the crank seal/oil pump ends which can house a nice switch its just mounting a 12v battery somewhere..

    So long as you're not running stupidly bright LEDs you should be able to run them off a tiny battery

    thats more like it i can get some of those batterys from work.. just looking at LED strips on ebay but they all seem 5M long, just a 30cm strip would be enough.. i dont want it like 4 pillars of light just a glow..

    iv got some thanks mate.. orderd a strip of 2x40cm in blue.. also an inluminated push switch and a 12v alarm battery the ones i can get form work are to big..

    finally got round to getting the glass for this! all finished an in its new home looking sweeet holding stuff off the floor. the lights were abit shit.. they work but they don't work in the room.. as nothing else is blue..







    there are sticky pads that are exactly the same sie as the head bolt holes so they keep it from moving about



    you also carn't see them from the top looking down

    White LED's with a diffuser on them shining straight up the bores would look far better than any coloured light.

    Loving the work on this though especially the carbon
