I have made some progress during the last few days and took some pictures today.

It's starting to look like a building finally

I'm liking this I wanted to build mine from timber, but we weren't allowed to. Deeply envious of your roof space too!
Where ever you go, never take an idiot with you. You can be sure you'll find one when you get there.

Sorry about the lack of updates. Haven't made that much progress as I have been so busy lately. Moved to the new house a couple of weeks ago and have had so much to do

But something has been done and here are couple of pics I have taken:

I have 4 days off work starting this saturday and I will be using the free time to build. Should have some more updates coming soon

I hadn't realised how tall it was. Are you going to build a workshop upstairs ?

It's not that tall really. Inner height is 2900mm and as there will be about 500mm of insulation on the roof there won't be that much space. But I will build a storage space of somekind there to store all the building materials etc..

    That is a tall garage.

2.9m internal height is pretty bloody high lol.

Over here the eaves would usually be around the same height as the top of the garage doors.

It's coming along nicely though .

Oh I wasn't having a dig. Generall over here planning will limit the ridge height to about 5m. If its permitted development then it's only 4m high. By the time you get your ceiling joists in you are down to about 2.4m max in most cases. It's good you can run yours much higher. Sits nice with the house I think.

They probably have regs. that allow for the fact you need a steep slope on the roof to allow for a lot of snow

Not sure about bigger, but definitely more awesome as it gets closer to completion.
