    Running rich

My s14 is running really rich. It had been off the road for a couple of years and finally got it back up and running.
Was creating a lot of heat under the bonnet and melted a couple bits and using s**t loads of fuel, smells very "fuelly" and chucks proper flames when hot.
I have had the intercooler pipework checked = no leaks.
Changed the ignitor sensor as this was showing up on fault reading.
No other faults showing at the moment.
    Cleaned afm, checked spark plugs.
What else would be causing A massive over fuel issue?
Oh yeah has just started to get really hesitant when hitting 4000rpm almost sounds like its really spitting fuel out the back popping and banging but not going anywhere, let off the throttle and is fine throttle back down and does it again!!!

Any other ideas would be great as missed having my car on the road and just missing enjoying it

Is there anyway to test the lamba? Or is it a case of replacing it?

Unplug it car should run in open loop still runs slightly richer but should be less rich than if it's faulty

Tried unplugging the lamba sensor. Didn't really make any difference still when I hit 4000rpm it back fires, pops bangs etc and won't go anywhere let off and it's ok back on the power and does it again.
Only running at about 12 psi so not fuel cut off or anything.

Would a boost leak not affect it at lower rpm as well?
