Boost spike. Best place to run MBC from?

Just fitted my apex type 2 cooler and am now experiancing boost spike.

It spikes to about 18 or 19 then falls to 15psi (which makes it feel slower).

Im currently running it from a nipple similar to where the original was on the old plastic cold pipe.

Would it be better to run it from the hot pipe coming off of the turbo?

    Help appreiciated.

I've put a boost take off nipple on the rubber hotpipe just after the turbo. Many on this forum would advise putting it there to reduce spikes.

if its just a bleed valve then get rid of it, they are terrible at the best of times and dangerous at worst. Make sure you have a ball and spring valve.

Yes its an alloy ball and spring.

I may move it then as looking at it now it seems to be fluctuating.
