Yeah. Quite a few of my mates came back. Mostly people thate were in the middle of the "earning band".
Luckly jap metal is getting more and more popular here so my business project has a chance to take off. Thats the good thing about developing market like Poland - there is plenty of chances to grow once business.

sgt_raffie: may I ask what kind of business did you start in Poland? I'm pretty curious.. I have some business ideas in my head, they're in connection with Hungary.

if you don't like it here feck off
Agree.. I personally couldn't deal with working in central London but it's great for days / nights out.. there is an absolute shed load of stuff to see and do (not always stuff that even costs money either!) it's a great city IMO. There are still things I see there that I've not done before -discovered Borough Market and all round London Bridge area the other weekend, really cool round there

I live about half hour / 45 mins on the train out of London, so best of both worlds IMO Can go there easily when you want to and escape when you don't

If 48% of Brits want to leave the UK.. why don't they??

Exactly.. people go away for 2 weeks and think they've visited some amazing place.. but actually living there day to day is probably a bit different!

I think that just a daft comment. My misses is employed by a new york based company but we both have old ill family members and we have to sell our house which is pretty hard when no seems to have any money. Getting into the states/canada/aus isn't a overnight process takes some people years and years they aren't like the uk with the gates open.

I've never been to Benidorm not my kinda thing. Been to the states loads of times since I was a kid my gf has the worlds smallest apartment in new york. We both have friends in different states from england none of them regret going except for leaving family

I have a business here too again needs selling or winding up or reworking to work in the states

My point is its hard to get away when you have so many commitments just cuz your happy with high taxes, paying £1.45+ per litre for fuel, high food prices, next to no support for business, Where its very hard to get a job so crime will go up, a country that can't even kick a hate preacher out and getting **** all back expect for the bins been emptied every two weeks when they do remember then thats fine but that doesn't mean I want the same thing. I know other countries aren't perfect but this one really isn;t doing me any favours.

Sorry it bothers you so much but thats my 2cents.

Not started yet. Will do this summer. Just a typical car related stuff. Detailing, modification etc. Just specialising in "strange" cars like jap performance cars that I know about (mx5s, 200s, supras etc) or 4x4 (for some reason a lot of folk seems to think that living in UK for 7 years made Land Rover expert ). I have lots of other ideas connected to my interests but this one seems to be the best to try. I Have my own house and land here so will only have to spend money on building a garage. Brough a lorry-load (seriously - 7,5t) of tools and bits from UK so this is covered. Will finance the garage from an EU grant is even if I will burn and fail I will end up with a nice oversize shed for my toys.

It's a perfectly sensible and valid comment, I'm well aware of how long it takes to emigrate and all the associated issues that comes with it such as family ties etc but the simply fact is the majority of people will do bugger all about it and instead just complain (this is England after all) and at the same time haven't even spent anytime outside of the UK apart from a 2 week holiday in Spain.

Nice exchange of ideas guys! I'm with Cloudy at this. You can't be sure how things go abroad, unless you try it. I tried Greece before for a season and it was still better than Hungary, but never again. I'll try London too, and we'll see. Friends who already are there saying good things in general.

sgt_raffie: that sounds like a great idea! There are new companies like this in Hungary too (well next to the "old" ones). Best of luck with it!

Thanks for all the responses! After reading the advices I'll leave the car here for now, my dad will take care of it. After I experienced how life goes in London, I'll decide what to do with the car.

Jobs wise you will be better off in London or at the very least a major city.

London accommodation is massively expensive. Even in modest accommodation, if you want your own place, as opposed to sharing, you will be looking at £1000 a month, just for a studio apartment, and that's before you eat, travel etc. If you live further out you often find the saving in accommodation is eaten up by travel costs to get back into London.

London has an excellent transport infrastructure and really you don't need a car.

absolutely spot on, further away you live the more it is to get into town, it all balances out. The further central you are the less likely you are to need a car
