Question anout nistune or similar ecu

My 180sx is pretty much running standard power. Only mods are fmic, turbo elbow and 3" exhaust. Is worth while getting nistune or similar and have the car mapped in order to get a little more out of it or do I need to wait to get bigger turbo, injectors etc for it to be worthwhile. Car is a daily btw.

Get some bigger injectors and a T28. With them, more boost and a remap you'll see gains. Otherwise I'd just rock it as it is bud.

It depends ultimately what your plans are. If you know you will be fitting a bigger turbo, injectors etc relatively soon then your best of waiting unless you have a fair amount of cash to throw at it.

    whats a t28 set you back ? I'm guessing 440's would be adequate ?

Have a little money to spend on the engine but not enough for a big turbo, injectors etc,etc

Cant see that happening for a while untill after my wedding.

Dude...you dont need a nistune and map yet.....trust me on that....my user name should be a hint as to how I know.
As said, Turbo (28 or 28r from and S15), injectors and a boost controller.

Paddy look on the Horsham Developments website regarding the stage maps. You ideally want a Stage 2 for your car. That is the Injectors and T28 route. Stage3a is the 2871r with bigger MAF and injectors.

Will check the Horsham Developments website. Are their any reputable companies which sell reconditioned T28r units ? Would buy a second hand unit but dont really have any real knowledge what condition it is in.

If you plan to install bigger injectors also change the MAF!
No use in Injectors capable of 300HP and a sensor that tops out at 210...

Is that what the SR one tops out at? I thought you only needed a z32 MAF when going stage 3?

    Ah.. sorry my fault.

I didn't notice OP said 180sx, so he has an SR20DET... That car wasn't available here in Austria

SR20 MAF tops out 290HP afaik
