    Una, the slaaaggg!!

Meet Una, she's a dirty ould yoke at present but I'm hoping give her a good makeover

Good god, what an ugly face!!

She's been modified to take it in the rear

She has got a nice rack though

She's an ex bt daf 45 130 with 90,000 km on the clock so the engine is as sweet as a nut but unfortunately she's suffering with the rust bug

the plan is to get her doe'd(Irish mot) look at derusting and respraying it, make some shelving and stuff for the inside and generally tidy it up

The first job is to clean that face a little and to represent

Funny you should say that, I brought her out at the weekend with the ps to a drift event and spent the whole journey looking through Nissan backwards!

I think the sticker will have sxoc only on it in the near future

I took a few pics of the loading process as it stands at the moment

I have made it considerably easier by putting in an electric winch but it's still a bloody effort to load

    The winch

I installed a couple of pulleys to route the cable over a car
    The ramp half way down

    And on the ground

To which two heavy extension pieces are added

    And the car inside

The extension pieces are then removed, the ramp folded up and the extensions fit into holders on the ramp
    Like I said, an effort!

My plan(along with all the many other plans I have) is to make the extensions lighter by fabricating them from lighter steel along with an aluminium skin instead of the steel mesh currently used and to weld them onto hinges so the extensions fold onto the ramp and everything is pulled up by the winch.

As is life, it's not that simple though! First I have to reengineer the ramps hinges to allow space for everything when the ramp is upright
    Expect an update soon

Have you looked into the alloy ramps you can get, quite often 3-3.5metres long and weigh about 20kgs each, so easily handled. Can get them with a 3.5t capacity too.
