On Saturday I took the long drive to Southampton to detail Monkey's Z3. The paint is in decent condition for a 15 year old car, but it was in need of some Detailing Jem TLC. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking:
This was on the bonnet, and looked like some sort of etching through the clearcoat down to the basecoat.
This was touched in with a touch up kit (base and clear), allowed to dry leaving this:
Once this was fully hardened the area was carefully wet sanded to level the paint leaving this, which while far from perfect is a lot less eye catching than before:
The doors had had some sort of bump strip on them, which had already been removed, but had left a nice line of sticky goo:
And as commonly found on soft tops, a light case of vegetation was starting to take hold:
So after a day of cleaning, polishing and protecting, Monkey had a very shiny car and a big grin
