I'd say so! There really is nothing like a properly clean black car. Just looks incredible.

What had it previously been cleaned with? A black and decker sander?

Looks a tricky one! VAG paint is hard too isn't it? Great stuff

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Looks like someone had badly used a machine polisher on it. Probably one of those two hand things you get cheap. They are just terrible for almost anything.

Cracking result there mate. You have too much patience lol.

Those crappy polishers wouldn't have the power to inflict holograms like that. I expect they were caused by a bodyshop or dealer with a love of G3 on a dirty pad.

G3 is amazing when done properly. As you say that must have been a really gritty old pad.

It does have it's uses, but I've not needed anything as harsh as G3 for years.

Great job mate, my car could use a bit of TLC the previous owner used to sit on the front wings so loads of scratches.

What can I do at home to get some decent results? I tried Tcut (I probs did it wrong) looked good for 2mins then the scratches came back.

    Mines also black
