    Quick stretch question

    Is it advisable to stretch run flats???

    not if you wanna actually use them as runflats. and it will be quite difficult to stretch them too.

    I've run a small stretch with them and they are a twat to stretch. But lasted ok. Didn't notice I had a puncture all the way to castle coombe ha

    very stiff sidewall, bastard to stretch!

    Decided not to take em in the end...205's on an 8.5j seemed too much of a stretch

    That would be a fairly mild stretch, depending on sidewall. I had 205/50s on 16x8 GTRs and with hardly any stretch at all.

    I had some bridgestone potenza runflats stretched, 225/40/18 on a 9.5j rim. They were fine

    Did you get a puncture and the tyre lose pressure?

    no, i only fitted them as I got them for £10 with 5mm of tread I knew full well they wouldn't be useful as runflats if they punctured.

    Run flats are horrid heavy things, well the pair I have on my spare rims are at least.
