My car done 143000 miles, I know they have chains instead of timing belt. Is it recommended to get the chain changed at this point?

143k is just worn in timing chain should last the life of the engine. think i've only ever heard of one snapping at that was because it had been mucked about with

Its more a case of the engine lasts the life of the chain

I wouldnt change one specially no, you wil have other issues like worn bearings and piston rings before the chain needs doing.
