    Cycle headlights

I need a decent headlight for my bikes, I've got plenty of flashing LED's etc, so being seen is not a problem, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so country roads with no streetlights and very very few cars. I've got a LED Lenser B7 which is ok, but it could do with being about five times brighter. I also have a LED Lenser H7R head torch which is pretty bright and it's nice that being on your head, where ever you look you have light, but being so close to your eyes it does tend to light up even slight mist right in front of your face making it look foggy when it's not.

    So what do people recommend?

Hope make some good stuff. You can spend some serious money on bike lights these days.

Someone I used to work with made a light out of a car HID kit and a 13V lithium ion battery. Ran for about 50mins between charges.

I bought one of these last year; it's horrifically bright (I use if for off-road night riding)

I do night road riding with a Hope vision 1, it's a well made light and bright when you need it to be.

Thats pretty much 3 Cree torches strapped together to make a bike-light

They're on eBay for abit less here

You can also get triple bulb lights, so strapping two of them to a bike would give 5 times the brightness of the LED Lenser torch Jem is looking for.

A guy at work just got a really awesome bike light with crazy lumins, plus it was only about £50, had seperate battery pack which has a (sort of) touch screen and all sorts. Ill get the link, its what i will be buying and put his bosses much more expensive one to shame.

I bought these! don't like tredz, but these are at a good price!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

me and my mates have one of these each, cheap but well made, simple to attach and super bright all the light you need, can use it as a head torch and lasts over 3hrs on a charge on full power!

Get some of the costco 200 lumen LED torches (currently £10+VAT for 3!) and make up some mounts

I had a LED Lenser MT7 which cost a few quid, but it got nicked a few weeks back out of my checked luggage coming back from holiday

I took a punt on the costco ones as for that price they don't really matter, and they are not far off as bright... You can tell they aren't as well made, and you can't adjust the focus but for £4 each including batteries they are ridiculously good value - I'm going to get another pack next time I'm down there!

I'm looking at getting some of these. A mates got some and they're so bright I can't ride behind him for being blinded They're USB chargeable so no worries about the ride home from work

You can get them for £75 if you shop about too
