Zenki S14, girl on a mission

    Hi everybody!

I've decided to turn my S14 (1995, bit of spec) into my new and first "real" project. I have many plans and ideas in my head but find it kinda hard to actually do/create/buy them.
Well, that will change now, and to keep myself motivated, I've decided to open this thread.
I wont talk too much about her past now. I was lucky to get a very good and clean example of an S14, very happy!
I got her over a year ago, and turned her into a track car this year.
I've had plenty of awesome drift-practice days with her but I can see that I'm hesitating on track as I wont crash/damage/abuse her too much.
But I wanna go nuts on the track...soo.....my new plan now ha

As she is still in a very good condition, I'd like to bringer back on the road. Not only that, I want my own special and completley customised car.
I have so many ideas in my head, I dont even know where to start.
This will be a slow project as I have a few other hobbies as well (and I still wanna go drifting, but with a different car).
    Sooooo....here we go
Well...thats it for now, here a few pics...mostly from drifting as that is what I did most with her...will make nicer pics soon

    Stay tuned anyway

Thats how I picked her up:

Thats how she looks like now

    (with Halloween decoration ha)

Well...lets see where I go with this...I cant wait to get started

Haven't seen that car around for ages.
It was up for sale in 2009 iirc , I wanted to buy it but the owner was out of the country at the time and I ended up buying my S14.
Always had a soft spot for it.

Best of look with the project, I'l be keeping an eye on it.
Good to see a few nice cars making it back to the road.

excuse me for the bad pics, only have phone pics now and car is very dirty anyway ha, had no chance to give her some proper clean.

    Update January 2013:
    new front bumper
    black tints removed (head lights)
and car finally parked up in a unit, so more time to do work (as dry and lights )

This weekend I spent a bit of time in the unit to take off a few parts to make them clean and shiny.
even tho this is nothing necessary to do, I'd like to know my car 100%.
So im probably take everything apart, have a look, and put it back together.
    was loads of fun

    for now it is only:

first, i took off the lights to give them a good polish and I might do a bit of DIY work on them too.
I also took off this bar, as u can see there is a bit of rost and it just annoys me
    so off and respray!

I also started to take off the intercooler pipes and next time it will be the intercooler itself.
i once hit the tyers on a trackday so the intercooler is not in its place anymore.

    WoooooooooooW
I somehow stopped coming on here but thought I might bring the project thread up again.
A good bit was done in the meantime, had her out for the summer and she sits like this atm:

Many more plans ahead and mostly saving up for a few parts I want.
Might write something up in the next few days to give a better update, we'll see

I would say it's time to update this thread a little.
Most of the following, happened already a good while ago, but to keep it up to date, I will post a few things that I've done to the car or that happened in-between.
The progress went a bit slower at some point because my OH and myself got a nice (rusty) missile...she looked like that when we picked her up (February this year):

She looks very poor at the moment because we gave her a good bit of abuse and my OH did his first track days in her.
But the engine....TOP...love how well she goes. I was out in her for an full hour non stop, no over-heating..nothing. Such a good car! and the handbrake is fantastic, we haven't fitted the hydro yet because the standard handbrake works so well

Here in the unit back then, when my S14 wasnt ready yet:

    More Updates soon!

Small updated: As a few might noticed, the thread name got changed, thought it would suit better
The current status is, that my baby is all tucked up and safely parked in a shed.
I'm after getting a lot of tools (yep....), parts and what not to start working on her during the winter months.

I will post previous things I did in the meantime shortly!

So far I have been only buying parts parts parts to start fitting them soon!
There is also a good amount of fibre-glassing waiting and I will also fix a friends bumpers soon, so busy times ahead
On Sunday I went to a dyno run day (without my car tho) but since it is Jap car related (and I got to drive a friends Skyline), I thought I mention it:

I've done a dyno run too ( a couple of months ago) and since I had a boost leak, I didn't get great numbers...just standard power

Lets see how it goes next year...im not aiming for more power though, so I am happy with it anyway
