Whats the modern equivalent of Old Spice?

Just sat here wondering this and as I havent worn aftershave in about 20 years and I actually always quite liked the smell of Old Spice.
I found a lot of modern after shaves smelt like Sheep Dip on me which is why I stopped wearing them but I think I could get away going old school.

Haven't smelt Old Spice for years, my old man used to wear it. I found that Givenchy (Spelling..) do one for Gents that had a nice musty smell to it which always reminded me of a gentlemans aftershave (not sweet in the slightest)

To me it reminds me of an old barbershop fragrance. Masculine and spicy but not particulrly overpowering. Thats what I'm after.
How long before aftershaves/perfumes "go off"? Do they have a shelf life?

£4.49 lol. If it doesn't smell like I remember it I can set alight to it and use it as a petrol bomb

I've been told Davidoff Cool Water is another "classic" fragrance like Old Spice. Can anyone comment on that?

I don't know what that smells like at all. All I remember is Henry Cooper telling me to Splash it all over

It smells like sweaty pits to start with, therefore saving you any expended effort in getting your pits sweaty

If you want a proper potent "musky" smell, can't go further than genuine deer musk from the middle east. Dubai literally reaks of the stuff, but once you've been around it for a while it becomes quite plesant.

I still rock Lynx Africa and pink Joop heh

Cool water is nowhere near it. You need to be looking at PS by Paul Sebastion, Montana Parfum d'homme or Aramis Havana. Theyre all the musky woody smells. All a bit dated now though.

Hollister Socal is pretty much my favourite at the moment. Its what they pump all round their shops as you walk in and is more what a man would wear rather than a prebuscent teen. Davidoff Adventure and Farenheit are my other two essentials.

Ted Baker Skinwear I think you'd like. You'd probably like the original Polo too.
