    Which tyres are good

Got some falken 452s with the car when I bought the car, just saw that the rears are bald now. Cars my daily and i don't drive like a nut.
Looking for something for under £150.
Currently have 245/45/18s and want 245/40/18. Been told Avons, falkens 452s and dunlops are pretty good. What would people recommend?

Falken 452's are good I used to use them before the power got too much for them Also used Kumho KU31 or 32, can't quite remember. They were ok, not as good as the Falkens though.

    Khumo ku31 are horrible imo.

Is your budget 150each or for the pair?

If each id go for the mich pilot sport 3. Last a lot longer too.

I dont see much for under a ton that id be using though?

Budget is up to 150 each.
Are the pilot sports grippier than the 452s?

Toyo t1r's are a good shout if you can still get hold of them. Far better than falkens imo.

    By a long way.

Nothing wrong with falkens just the michs are noticeable better

Just had a quick browse, seen some michs for 145 each on camskill. Is that a good price? I know a guy and might be able to get it cheaper. Think I might go for them

I recently fitted some falken fk452's to the rear of mine and i'm very impressed with them tbh. I read nothing but good reviews on them all saying they were good and the best you can get for that price bracket (very cheap for the levels of grip imo) and at the moment i'm yet to find reason to disagree.

If £150 each is your budget though i'm sure you can get better tyres but at stage 1 power they are more than up to the job imo.

Ive always used toyo px4's were resonably priced and gave a big grip improvment over the continentals i was running, also have a sexy tread pattern!

i quite liked KU31's on my punto (not as good as T1r's though) but I really rate KU39's that I have on the back of my s14, better than the fk452's I've had.

Otherwise you should run the best tyres you can afford anyways, especially up front. Contisports or eagle F1's are excellent.

I have so far in eight and a bit years of sx ownership used nothing but toyo t1r's (225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear). Oh and the fronts are still the same tyres I got when I brought the wheels, only been through one set of rears in all that time.
