I broke my car just before the Weekender

    9 days to go

There has been the prequel thread this year, to talk about grand plans.

This thread is for things breaking or bad luck after 3rd July.
    What's gone wrong ?

Turbo is being rebuild and it turns out the shaft needs to be replaced so its looking highly unlikely that it will be done

A good effort but 8 minutes too early.
There is plenty of time, plus 8 minutes, to put it right

I'll find out today how long it will take to get a replacement shaft. It's not looking good though.

My friend offered me a loan of his GTR if I want it, tempting but I'd be scared I break or bin it.

Will that make me fix my car faster or slower :wack:

I'm having a bit of a brake pad drama at the last minute, trying to source decent pads for not astronomical money for an obscure caliper very quickly

FML, I've broke my car just been out for a drive, got back and car is now not boosting properly. Not had a look at it properly yet, could just be a massive boost leak, although knowing my luck the turbo is busted

2 days till my weekender starts and still only have 1mm of pad on my rear brakes
Standard Nissan units it is then

Also the drivers side wing mirror stopped folding itself about an hour ago, hoping this isn't a sign!

    What car you taking Sambo?

My car's ready (in a just chucked together but bodgey as **** way) but the brake pedal's gash so might lure someone with a skinny ass into pumping the brake pedal with the offer of some free beer

I've ordered two new BMC's and fluid which I should get tomorrow (raceparts.co.uk appear to have given fantastic customer service) just in case they need replaced as well. I've also got to finish fitting a tow bar to the new tow slag as well.

See you lads on Friday hopefully lol

Mine is still in 271 pieces

    A small selection below!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!
